Chapter 14

"(Y/N), care to explain," Nico said.
"Um,"
"Yeah, what the Hell's going on?" Connor asked.
"well. . ."
"I don't really care. . ." Nico nudged Reyna. "I mean, yeah, explain yourself!"

"okay fine!" You took  a deep breath and turned to Connor. "Nico and I started dating after my accident. I was in love with him for years, I ran away from the restuarant with tears in my eyes because I couldn't stand seeing him and Will together. And then I got his by a car.
"I thought I only liked him but soon I fell for you."
You turned to Nico.
"I started to fall for Connor. And the other day he asked me out and I said 'yes'. I knew it was really wrong and I messed up. I'm really, really sorry."

"So. . .do yo even. . ."

"Love you anymore? Only as a friend I guess," you looked away. Tear brimming your eyes, you wanted to run away.

You wished you could take it all back.

"what about you? Are you and Reyna a thing?"
"yeah," he replied. "I didn't feel the same love from you as the first day we confessed our love to each other. I started hanging out with Reyna and eventually, we just clicked."

There was an awkward silence that hung above you all like a dark storm cloud.

"So, I guess we're breaking up then huh?" You asked awkwardly, rubbing the back of your head.
"Yea, I guess we are." He said.

You reached over and grabbed Connor's hand. You gave it a squeez and walked over to Nico.

You wrapped her in a hug and said, "We can still be friends and stuff right?"
"Of course, (Y/N)."
You let go. "You two have fun okay?"
"we will, you too." Reyna said.
"Thanks." Connor said.

You walked back to Connor and he gave you a hug, "You hate me don't you?" you told him. "I lied to you."
He kissed you on the cheek and patted your back. "I don't hate you (Y/N). People fall in and out of love all the time, plus, look on the bright side, you're still with me and you and Nico are still friends."
"Thank you for not hating me."
"I could never hate you doll, let's go back to my place."

You sniffled and nodded your head. Looking to your left, you saw Nico and Reyna heading back the way they had come.

"See ya around Neeks," You whispered as you and Connor made your way back to his house.
