Ivy slipped into a nightgown, not as comfy as George's clothes, but she couldn't let her friends see.
She slid under the covers, hiding George's sweater and shorts under her bed.
"Where were you all night?" Ginny said groggily, sitting up in her bed.
Ivy stretched, pretending to just wake up too. "Here." She yawned.
"Mhm." Ginny murmured, getting out from under her covers. She shot Ivy a sly smile as she dropped to her knees and pulled out the clothes before Ivy could stop her.
"Wait." But it was too late, Ginny already had the green sweater in her hands and a smirk on her face.
"Hm. This looks familiar." Ginny wiggled her eyebrows.
"Get your head out of the gutter Gin. Nothing happened." Ivy snatched the material from her hands.
"Suuurrree." She drawled out.
"I promise." Ivy dragged her hands down her face to hide her rosy cheeks.
"Whatever you say." Ginny obviously didn't believe her.
Ivy growled at the youngest Weasley. "We were going to hang out but as soon as I walked in. . . He fell asleep."
Ivy hated herself for being baited to defend herself.
Ginny snorted. "He fell asleep?!"
Ivy nodded, not looking at her friend, feeling a tad bit embarrassed.
"And he didn't even remember." Ivy couldn't help herself from joining Ginny in laughter.
"I really do have dimwit brothers." Ginny smacked her forehead.
"You really do." Ivy agreed.
After a few minutes of pleasant silence, Ginny spoke up.
"So, are you and George. . . You know. . ." She rambled.
"Together?" Ivy gave herself a few moments to think.
What was she doing?
She couldn't let her friends and alcohol cloud her judgment. She shouldn't be making these attachments.
Ivy would have to leave them sooner or later, breaking her heart all over again.
Friends were hard enough, but a possible relationship would make things even more difficult.
"No. It was just an almost drunken night." Ivy waved it off.
Ginny merely nodded, not sure she believed her friend.
Ivy needed to sort out her feelings, better yet turn them off. She couldn't afford to get distracted. By anything, or anyone.
"You can tell me, you know?" Ginny reached over to hold Ivy's hand in hers.
"I don't see anything happening." Ivy lied, more to herself than anything. "I don't want a relationship with anyone right now."
"Okay." Ginny held up her hands in surrender.
"How was last night with you and Harry?" Ivy played with the threads on her sheets, pretending to be innocent.
"I don't. . . Know what you mean?" Ginny stammered.
"Mhm. Whose being coy now?" Ivy smirked.
"Damn you vixen!" Ginny whisper yelled as she threw her pillow at Ivy's face.
Ivy caught it before it could hit her with a giggle. "I'm not blind Gin. You two are obsessed with each other."
"You think so?" Ginny stared at a spot on the floor.
