"Okay I'll give you a boost. You climb that tree, jump, and see if you can fly." Castian pranced around as if he had the greatest idea in the whole world.

"Not helping." Aramis shot him a warning look.

"What?!" Castian surged towards Ivy. "You're telling me you don't want to try and fly?"

"Castian!"

Everyone peered at Ivy to see how she was feeling about his outburst of suggestions.

After a few moments of silence she shrugged her shoulders. "I mean, I was curious."

"See!" Castian insisted, getting as low to the ground as he could. "Alright hop up bat lady."

"Cut it out." Eliana smacked his shoulder.

The centaur rubbed his shoulder and pouted.

"So you're telling me," Ivy tried to stand up but was immediately forced back down by the unbalance she wasn't used to, and her broken leg, "that you had no idea anything like this would happen?" She directed her question to Aramis, the hope in her simply refusing to believe he didn't have any idea.

"How could I know?" He almost scoffed.

"You were there when I was born." Ivy started to list. "You defended me and personally healed me." She held up a few more fingers. "You seem to know more than you've let on."

Aramis seemed offended.

"What aren't you telling me?" Her rant ended weakly as she just sighed. She was tired of being in the dark. Tired of learning these things about her past at the worst times. She didn't want to be surprised anymore. For once, she just wanted to be in the loop about her own damn self.

"Ivy I don't know much." He calmly trotted closer to her. "Most everything I know, I have already told you."

"Most?" She didn't push away the hand that came to rest on her shoulder.

Aramis glanced over at Castian and Eliana wearingly, as if the information he was about to share was to be kept on the down low.

"They practically know everything anyway." Ivy waved it off. "As long as they can keep a secret." Ivy gave them a warning glare to which they both gulped simultaneously.

If Ivy was being honest with herself, she was almost glad someone else would bear the burden of her secrets. That some part of this situation, wouldn't leave her alone.

"I may have kept out a few details about your birth." Aramis carefully gauged Ivy's reaction.

As much as Ivy wanted to yell, scream, and pull out her hair, she couldn't say she wasn't surprised. "Go on." She spoke calmly.

"You were glowing in a teal light." That much she already knew. "When I passed you over to Andrei, I did notice something small on your back." Aramis removed his hand from her shoulder to get a little distance between them. "I didn't really have time to process what it was, as your mother was on the verge of death."

Ivy tried to calm her quickening heart rate. She held on to Shadow for comfort.

"Now that I think about it, I believe they were wings." Aramis gripped his chin in thought. "And it would coincide with what I had seen in my vision."

"Vision?!" Castian choked.

Aramis nodded gravely.

"But. . . You haven't had one for nearly..." Castian spoke as if he were putting things together as he looked from Aramis to Ivy. "Nineteen years."
