"Romania." Aramis seemed to surprise himself with the confession. "North beyond the school. To the place where light cannot touch."
George nodded in thanks and stalked away before any more clues could confuse him.
"Field trip!" Fred sang as he joined his twins side.
"Pack the hut" George ordered his brother. "I have to stop somewhere before we leave."
"Do tell brother." Fred raised an eyebrow, intrigued.
"We need a tour guide." George frowned. "And I know just the man."
****************
George led Atanas by the wrist through the castle until they had reached the Gryffindor common room. He was surprised to say the least when the man didn't protest. They hadn't said a word to each other, not even when George found Atanas where they had left him staring off into the forest, and grabbed him by the wrist with a grunt.
Atanas crossed his muscled arms over his chest as soon as George had let go of him. "Whatever you all are thinking. . ." He began as he raised his hand to rub his temple. "I can guarantee it's a bad idea."
"Saddle up big boy." Fred rubbed his hands together mischievously.
Atanas looked up through his hand in suspicion. "You cannot go there."
Unbelievable. . . It's as if he knew exactly where they were insinuating.
"We are." George crossed his own arms over his chest. "And you're going to take us there."
Atanas paled. "Absolutely not."
George stalked closer at his refusal and stabbed a finger into his chest. "You've always been one step ahead of everything. You always seem to know things others don't." He jabbed his chest harder with a thrust of his finger. "You could have stopped things from happening."
"George." Ginny's voice of caution was gone in the wind. Unheard by George's ears.
Atanas's head tilted as his hooded eyes turned predatory. "Don't pretend you know a thing lover boy." He said with unnerving calm.
"You will take us there." George dared a step closer. Though, he did not stop to think that he had no idea where there was.
"I will not." Despite Atanas's calm demeanor, Ginny couldn't help but notice the slight twitch to his hands as the furled and unfurled his fingers.
George bared his teeth at the challenge.
Atanas peered off into the night sky and took a shallow breath, his nostrils flaring. "You must have a death wish." He scoffed to himself.
"Please." Ginny intervened, hoping George's aggression hadn't spurned Atanas away.
Atanas stiffened at her tone. He closed his eyes as a breeze drifted across his skin. "She does not need your help." Ginny flinched as if he had struck her.
George sighed. "Please Atanas. I can't. . . I won't lose her again."
"You will not make it out of that castle alive." George kept his face carefully neutral, trying not to give away the little tidbit of information Atanas had fed him.
A castle. . .
"And you will only get in her way." Atanas looked pointedly towards George.
"One friend cursed by evil is enough." Hermione whispered.
"Voldemort is but a whiny privileged child." Atanas scoffed.
The group of friends hissed at the name, George didn't miss the Harry's near unnoticeable flinch.
