"So you're telling me. . . There's a version of this story that's different from the one we just read?" Neville questioned.

"That's correct." Hermione answered.

"So which one is the real one?" George feigned disinterest, but in reality, he was on the edge of his seat.

"I'd bet my wand on the one you found George."

"What's different about your book George?" Ginny slid up next to him and held the worn book in her hands.

"To say the least it's not the kid friendly version you read." George looked away. "And it just stops randomly. As if no one wrote down the ending."

"Or maybe. . . No one knows what happened next." Hermione speculated.

"Still. . . How does this pertain to Ivy?" Fred snatched the book from Ginny and twirled it in his fingers.

"I'm not sure yet." Hermione tapped a finger to her chin as she thought.

"Do you think Dumbledore would know?" Harry asked the group.

"I'm sure he does." George muttered. "But would he tell us. . ."

"It's worth a shot." The group agreed. Fred tossed the book back at George, who caught it deftly in his hands. Careful not to tear it's already delicate pages.

George watched them walk away as he dragged his feet back to his place. As much as he wanted to follow along with the mystery, he didn't think his heart could take any more.

What did it matter what they found? Ivy was still gone. This only felt like adding salt to his open wound. He just wanted to relax and drink himself into oblivion. He didn't want to think. He just wanted to be in a place where Ivy never existed. Where she had never taken his heart and stomped on it with her sexy combat boots.

George pull it together.

"Hey mama bear! Where's the cub?" A painfully annoying smooth voice called out.

"What?" George whirled around to see Atanas behind him.

"The temptress?" He crossed his bulky arms over his chest.

"Come again?"

"Ivy you dimwit." Atanas rolled his eyes playfully. "I haven't seen her in a couple days."

Atanas peered around George as if he expected to see Ivy not too far behind.

"Yeah well, you won't be seeing her again." George half muttered, half growled.

"Don't get all overprotective on me now. She's a big girl, she can choose who she wants t—"

"She's gone asshole." George didn't know if he had the mental capacity to deal with another male ego.

"What do you mean gone?" Atanas ignored the jab completely.

"She left and she's not coming back." George didn't know why he was explaining this to him. He didn't particularly care for the man.

"Why not? Where did she go?" George didn't miss the increasing anxiousness emitting from Atanas.

"Took off in the forest." George waved him off, not wanting to dig up the memory of her abandoning them.

"Woah woah woah." Atanas spoke quickly, grabbing hold of George's arm. George immediately ripped his arm out of Atanas' grip and spun to glare at him. Atanas held up his hands in surrender and continued talking. "The forest?!"

"It seems she'd rather gallivant with the centaurs then be here." George tried to hide his jealousy and hurt in a sarcastic tone.

"Centaurs?!" Atanas was now on the brink of freaking out. A confused brow rose on George's face as he couldn't figure out why he was acting this way.
