"Happy birthday, Auntie." Rona approach Suryeon who continued playing with Seokmin and Aera after the cake cutting ceremony. "Thank you, Rona. Seokmin-ah, Aera-ya, mommy is hear to take you away from grandma. Do you want to go?" Suryeon thanked Rona before turning back to the twins. It caught Rona off guard when Suryeon said 'grandma' when she doesn't know that the twins were really her grandchild.
The twins cried and hugged Suryeon which brings Rona to reality and chuckled seeing how the twins love spending time with their grandma. "Okay. I'm not taking you away from your grandma." Rona smiles to Suryeon as she sits next to Suryeon as Seokmin came to her.
"Rona." Suryeon called her while they still playing with the kids. Rona hummed as a sign for Suryeon to continue her sentence. "Is it okay for me to call myself grandma to them?" Rona looked at Suryeon in shocked. "It's the least I could do for Yoonhee." Suryeon sadly said. Before Rona could answer, they were interrupt by a dark voice.
Rona stunned in her sit, "Mom, there you are. Have you eaten your cake?" Seokhoon stand still in front of his mother when he just realized that his mom was with Rona. "Oh, right! Seokmin-ah, Aera-ya, Let's go eat some cakes, shall we?" Suryeon leave the 2 people alone and bring the twins to eat the birthday cake with her.
After Suryeon and the twins left, silence surround them. Awkward silence. They're looking everywhere they can except their eyes. It was Seokhoon who spoke first, "So how are you?" His dark voice gave her goosebumps as it's been a long time since their last encounter.
She courage up and said, "I'm fine, thanks for asking." Again, silence erupt. It was obvious that they both are feeling uncomfortable with each other or at least 1 of them. Rona can't take it anymore so she stood up to walk back to her newly friends table when Seokhoon stop her.
"What do you want?" Rona straight-forwardly asked. "What happened to you after that day, 5 years ago?" Seokhoon asked, concern nor curious was far from what he's expressing with his face and voice. "You know what happened. I vanished from your side as you want." Rona escape Seokhoon's grip and was about to walk away again when Seokhoon asks another question, "Was the twins, mine?" Rona wanted to answer yes, she wanted him to know that they are living just fine without a father nor a husband by their side but instead she replied, "No. They're not yours." And with that she finally walked away.
Seokhoon went back to the table after a few minutes expecting Rona to be there as well but no, she was missing. "Oppa, have you seen Rona?" Seokkyung asked as she saw them talking together earlier. Seokhoon shook his head. Seokkyung was about to continue when they heard Rona's voice but with another unfamiliar voice.
"Sorry guys, I went to pick him up at the entrance." Rona apologize and pointed at a guy behind him. "Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. I'm Rona's boyfriend, Kang Jihoon." Jihoon introduce himself to the others. Everyone was shocked especially Seokhoon but it vanished when Rona nudged Jihoon on the waist with her elbow. Jihoon let out an 'ow' before laughing. "Boyfriend my ass. Your just my best friend and the twins care-taker only." Rona rolled her eyes. "Are you sure, Bae Rona?" Jihoon teased.
"Uncle Jihoon!" A shout came from afar and the next thing they know was that the twins was in Jihoon's arm already. "Hello there, babies. How are you?" Jihoon greet the twins with a smile. "Oh wait, I have to greet the birthday girl. Where is she?" Jihoon asks Rona. Rona pointed at Suryeon who was watching from afar. Jihoon passed the Seokmin to Rona while Aera to Seokkyung with a charming smile.
Jihoon then proceed to go and greet Suryeon a happy birthday while the others were looking at Rona asking for explanation as to why was Jihoon not his husband nor boyfriend when she already have a child. "Long story, I'll explain it the next time we meet." Rona said as she continues to talk with the others about other thing and carrying Seokmin.
"What happened between you and my brother before?" Seokkyung asked as she and Rona went to put the twins in another room as they felt asleep on their arms. "How did you know?" Rona asked, clearly expecting Seokkyung to ask it since she sense that Seokkyung have been refraining herself from asking earlier when they were with others.
"I heard your conversation with him earlier and I can't help but curious." Seokkyung slowly said, don't want to wake up the twins. "Why don't we talk inside the room later?" Rona said as Seokkyung looked at her even more curious as to how would she be so calm when her brother is urge to talk to her everytime she's near him.
Seokhoon gave Seokkyung one of the hotel key as it was the venue of the birthday party was held. JK Hotels, the 5-Star Hotel that was known worldwide for their excellent service and have a few more built across the city.
Rona and Seokkyung put both Seokmin and Aera next to each other on the bed with a blanket covering them. Rona kissed her babies on the forehead before closing the bedroom door. She turned around and proceed to the living where Seokkyung was waiting for her.
Rona sits in front of her before starts telling Seokkyung what actually happened to her and Seokhoon.
