Chapter 4 : Crumbling

That night, Rona told Seokkyung everything. They grew closer so fast that people thought they were sisters more than friends. Seokkyung once tried to punch her own brother in front of the crowd but Rona held her back and said this one line "Wasting your punch is like wasting your time so leave him not knowing anything and let him regret his entire life."

That day, Seokkyung became much more distance from Seokhoon and Seokhoon was frustrated when his own sister ignores him in the house nor didn't even pick up his call either. He asked himself, "Did I do something wrong?" When he doesn't take it anymore with his sister ignoring him, he went to The Yunis Holdings to see Rona and asked her what she said to his sister that make his sister hates him. When he arrived, it was like fate. Seokkyung and Rona was having lunch with each other at Rona office.

Seokhoon went straight and pull Rona up by her arm. "What is this? What did you tell her?" Seokhoon was fuming in anger as he grips on Rona's hand really tight that made her yelp in pain a little but she still stood with head up high. "Oppa! Let go!" Seokkyung shout but Seokhoon ignores her and continue to look at Rona with burning eyes. "I said let go!" Seokkyung shouted again. By then, Seokhoon let go of Rona's hand but not the burning eye contact with her.

"Seeing you suffer like this doesn't make up all the suffers I get from you so you should suffer even more without knowing the truth. Not now, not ever. You deserve to be left alone, regretting your choice and your messed-up life. You pushed people when they wanted to help you and now, you're searching for them back like what you did before was never happened. You're broken, Joo Seokhoon. Remember that."

Those words were what Rona said to him a month ago. It keeps going into his mind. "What did I do to you for you to change so intensely?" Seokhoon asked himself. His thoughts were cut off when there's a knock on his office door. He regains his focused and said, "Come in!"

Suryeon came in with Seokkyung tailed behind her. Seokhoon was so shocked, "Mom! Seokkyung! What brings you here?" Seokkyung scoffed, "I didn't come on my own will. Mom asked me to come since we're having an emergency family meeting." Seokhoon sigh and offer a seat at the couch to his mother and his sister. He wasn't looking at his sister but he can feel the burning glare she's giving to him.

"I heard what happened in Rona's office." Suryeon started. Seokhoon snapped at Seokkyung seeing her smirking, knowing he is in trouble for the things he caused. "It was-" Seokhoon started but got cut off by Suryeon. "Apologize to her today." Suryeon said.

"You're joking, right?" Seokhoon asked, literally begging that his mother is joking. No, he will never apologies to someone like Rona. She ruined his relationship with his sister and now she dragging his mother in it too. 'This is getting overboard.' Seokhoon thought.

"You like it or not, I want you to apologies to her today or you can't come home." Suryeon deadpanned said. "But mom-" Seokhoon tried to protest again but Suryeon stand up with his sister, walking out the office. Before she could hold the doorknob, Suryeon advise her son.

"Apologies to her before I won't admit you as my son."

That afternoon, Seokhoon asked his secretary to cancel all his schedule and give him the car key since he wants to drive the car to release some of his stress while driving.

"Damn you, Bae Rona." Seokhoon cursed her while he was driving to Yunis Holdings. He was in his 50-50 thoughts. The first time he saw her after that 'mistake' night, she was stunning. She could be his savior from the heartbreak he was going thru that moment but he chooses not to.

He arrived after a 20-minute drive; He took a deep breath before going out of his car where he parked at the building parking lot. He hopes they didn't fight anymore because fighting with her hurts him too and he doesn't know why. He has a feeling that fighting with her was not the right decision. He has some sort of soft spot for her, knowing how fragile she was after the night of the 'mistake'.

To be honest, at the night of the 'mistake' occur, he woke up feeling sober but when she saw what he did and the woman next to him, sleeping like she was very tired from what he did to her and he felt really to her because he just dragged her into his messed up life.

Walking to her office in heavy steps because he is not ready to face her again after what he done. He's sorry but his ego won over him that he just lashed out at her the first thing he opened her office door.

"Really? Telling my mother about what happened? Are you really serious?" He saw her in her seat working her ass off and he's here just to disturb her. "Wow. No knock. No hello. Very Joo Seokhoon style. Hello, good afternoon Mr. Joo and no, it wasn't me who tell your mother." Rona sarcastically said while standing up from her seat walking towards to where Seokhoon was standing.

'No. Don't come closer. I won't control myself if you come any closer.'
