Chapter 6 : Hand In Marriage

The meet up location was not that far from where she's staying and she was familiar with the café so it was easy for her to find the café really quick. As she parked her car nearby the café, she let out a nervous breath before going out of her car.

'Please let this thing end fast and nothing that will shock me in the end.' Rona prayed before she pushed the café door.

Inside the café, Rona searched for Suryeon before she spotted her at a table by the end of the corner. There were not many people there as it was a small corner where only 2 people can sit on one table.

Rona walks towards Suryeon as her nervous didn't calmed down but instead it grows and she trembling really hard right now. "Aunty." Rona called when she arrived in front of Suryeon. "Oh, Rona! Come have a seat." Rona sat across Suryeon. Seeing the serious expression on Suryeon didn't ease her nervousness.

"So, what do you want to talk about Auntie?" Rona asked carefully. Suryeon looked at her with sad eyes, "I'm here to offer you a hand in marriage, Rona."

"... for this location, the spa will be open in 4 months' time starting today while the cosmetic will be open in 2 months' time..." 

Rona is not focusing on her meeting today after what happened yesterday. Suryeon just offered her a hand in marriage which means that if she accepts them, she'll be married to Seokhoon.

"Ma'am?" Rona came back to reality when someone called her out. The whole meeting room is now looking at her. She composed herself, "Continued please." Everyone was raising their eyebrow when the one who was presenting said, "I just finished." He awkwardly scratches his hair.

"Oh. Um, I agree with everything as long as there is not problem with the process so just proceed everything. Meeting end! Get back to work!" Rona stood up and left the meeting almost immediately to cover her embarrassment.

"You really embarrass yourself in there." A voice greets her half way. The voice who she hated at the moment. "What are you doing here?" Rona coldly asked, she didn't want to laid a glance on him so she just continue to walk towards her office. She could feel that he is following behind him very closely and it gives her goosebumps.

"I heard that my mom went to see you yesterday. What are thinking right now that you looked so bother in the meeting?" Seokhoon asked as they walk in to Rona office. "You don't wanna know what she said yesterday." "Yes, I did know because I was the one who force her to do it on my behalf."

Rona finally looks up at him, wide eyes. She was silent for a moment at how perfect he looked in his dark green three-piece suit. "You force your own mother to meet me and asked me to hand in marriage with you? What are you? A freak? A dumbass? An idiot?" Rona was in rage as she was really fed up with Seokhoon's attitude.

Seokhoon didn't answer her but instead he just sits on the couch inside her office. "Why are doing this, Joo Seokhoon? I thought you hated me? You said you won't like someone like me-"

"And I don't. I would never like you no matter what happen cause you mean nothing to me." Seokhoon turned to her with the coldest eyes, it was almost like there was no emotion in his eyes at all.

That statement hurts Rona so much. She thought she could bare the insult she got from him but after that one, she doesn't think she will. She has been patience with his attitude since the day the meet again at Aunt Suryeon party but right know she thinks that he really has reach his limit and Rona pride as a strong woman is slowly falling apart just because a man she loved, which he didn't know that she like him, insult her in her face.

She fetches out her phone and dialed Suryeon's number, she put it on speaker so that the man in front of her will also hear the conversation. It rang a few seconds before a 'Hello' greet them. Seokhoon turn to look at her back with eyes wide at what she said next,

"I accept the marriage."

"... now, I pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."

It was those awful day where Rona would like to bury herself into 10,000 feet deep in the ground. Seokhoon opens her veil before pull her closer by the waist, whispered something to her before officially kissed her.

"Welcome home, my bride."

The after party was fun but not for Seokkyung and Rona. Rona felt like she just kills herself in this marriage while Seokkyung was sad because Rona had to go through her brother antics and fucked up game.

"Hey, you okay?" Seokkyung, Jenny and Eunbyeol walk up to Rona when they saw Seokhoon left her side to go have a chitchat with his friends. "I feel like killing myself here and now. Did I make the right decision?" Rona facepalm her face as she's starting to cry.

"Seokhoon might be playing with your feeling but do know that we're here to support and help you anytime you wanted, okay?" Eunbyeol hugged her.

"Where are the twins?" Jenny asked. "Mom is putting them to bed because they feel asleep after the ceremony." Rona looked at the three of them and said,

"Thank you, guys. Even though we just known each other less than a year but you guys are the best. Thank you too for keeping my secret from Mom and Seokhoon. I will always remember your kindness."

The three just smile and they do a group hug to comfort Rona who is going to suffer living with the devil, Seokhoon.
