Chapter 14: Everything's Unexpected

The sound of close door was heard, Suryeon and the twins ran towards the door expecting good news but no, they were greeted by 2 soulless human being.

"What happened?" Suryeon broke the silence. She's concern about her 2 kids who looks like they were just got killed by someone.

Both let out a deep sigh, as Seokkyung speak up. "Well on the bright side, Rona agrees to see you 2 cuties..." Seokkyung pinched the happy twin's cheeks as she continues her words again; "... but the bad news is..." She looked towards the lifeless Seokhoon beside her.

He has been so quiet after he came out of Rona's office and during the car ride home. He had never been like this. No energy, have no faith to live anymore.

"Seokhoon?" Suryeon called that made him look up to his mother face.

"She asked for a divorce."

Seokhoon enters his room, he looked around the whole room then down to his feet. And just like Rona earlier, he started to laugh like a maniac.

Pain, the one thing that he's experiencing for the 3rd time in his life and all of that was from the same person.

The laughter who slowly turns into a soundless sob. The man who acts strong is finally falling down on his knees as he makes the dumbness decision on his life earlier.

He should have hold onto her earlier, he should've said no to her offer of divorcement earlier but no, he agreed and now he regrets it for the rest of his life.

She was one of all the woman he had ever meet. She won his heart, his mind, his eyes, his lips but now that all of that will be gone. What would he do for life?

She was his light in the darkness world of him. She lights him up just like how he wanted. He fell for her when he knows he shouldn't, when he doesn't deserve her. He doesn't deserve her sympathy because he knows that she is the one who needed it the most.

Encouragement? He doesn't need it because he knows how fucked up, he is this time as there are no turning back this time.

'Why? Just why did I do all of that?' Same question has been going around his mind and he couldn't help but to chuckled at himself.

'This is so pathetic.' He walks to his walk closet, taking a golf stick on the way there before he started to smash everything in there.

It was a mess, everything was a mess, he was a mess. "Everything is ruined now. She's not coming back now. What have I done?" Seokhoon sat in the messy closet with glass pieces scattered on the floor and tints of blood was either on the glass or the floor.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry..." Seokhoon repeated those 2 words while his tears fall down like it was a river. Seokhoon regret, he regrets he chooses to keep the secret of his and Rona behind story from people knowing and left her.

The morning of the day, a year ago;

Seokhoon was came down from his car where he parked it at the hospital basement, on his way to visit his princess, Rona.

"Hello oppa." A female voice greets him. He doesn't need to turn to see who it was because the voice itself was very familiar to him. "What do you want, Haerin?" Seokhoon had no time to waste so he just walks away from his car leaving Haerin behind.

"Did your mother and friends know what you did to Rona? And did your kids know about how you tried to hurt them when they were still little?" Seokhoon froze on his spot.

Yes. So far, the only one who knows about what happened between him and Rona was Seokkyung only. Also, the time when he gets to know that Rona gave birth to the twins, he tried to kill the twins since he doesn't want the child but when he sees them, he was sure at that time that what he's been doing right there and then was wrong and the twins didn't do nothing wrong instead of giving the happiness he doesn't know that he needed.

"What do you want?" Seokhoon turns to her. Haerin smirks as she said; "Leave her and come to me."

Seokhoon was having a lot of doubt and thinking. After a few minutes of silence, Seokhoon agreed. He knows that Rona wouldn't forgive him for what he did but he had no choice since he wants to keep his past cruel intention a secret.

That's when his life got so messed up. He regrets leaving Rona and preventing the twins to meet their mom when he was supposed to be ashamed of what he tried to do to them in the past.

Hearing the scream and things being shattered upstairs, Suryeon, Seokkyung, Seokmin and Aera ran upstairs to see what happen to Seokhoon.

The moment Seokkyung open the door, messy room greets the 4 of them. They searched for Seokhoon in that messy room just to find him already passed out with blood all over him.

"Joo Seokhoon!"

It became a crying, panicked and shouting mess. Suryeon was crying when she looked at her son condition, Seokkyung who was trying to woke her brother up, Seokmin who was trembling while calling the ambulance and lastly, Aera who was also trembling not knowing what to do.

"A-a-appa..." Aera open her tremble mouth as she called her daddy.

Seokmin who heard it widen his eyes.

"Aera! Close your eyes! You can't see anything!" Seokmin immediately dragged Aera out from the room.

One thing that no one ever knows was when Aera was 3, she witnesses Rona trying to end her life. It was a terrible memory for Aera that it became her trauma to see blood.

"Aera, look at me." Seokmin brought her sister to her room and sat her down on her bed. She was still trembling really hard and was not focusing on anything not until her brother shook her shoulder and shout at her. "I said look at me!" and she looked at him with a visible traumatized eye.

"Erase the scene before from your mind. It's just a dream."
