"Nothing?! You mean to say that Apophis has practically disappeared?!" I started yelling again.
"Well he should be out there somewhere. Apophis can't stay in one place for too long, he is too powerful and much too big for one dimension to handle. He probably has weaved himself throughout all of the dimensions which is why it's going to be hard to find him."
"But, Apophis is such a huge source of chaotic energy. A god like you should be able to know how to locate it well, but then again," Klaus' voice trailed off into useless muttering while Ra glared at him. Something tells me that those two aren't going to get along very well.
Ra rolled his eyes at Klaus who was pacing across the throne room. "You should know that focusing on such a large source of energy can do severe damage. Anyways I tried that but Apophis is capable of hiding himself very well. I don't think he'd be stupid enough to let us find him just like that."
"I understand, but you could have put a little more effort into trying to find him," Klaus and Ra were meters away from each other and if looks could kill, both would be dead. I walked between them holding my hands up, "Ladies, ladies," I muttered sarcastically, "Lets put our differences aside and focus on the god of Chaos being let loose," Both of them glared at me. I stood there smiling a little looking at neither of them. I had absolutely nothing to lose if either of them wanted to kill me. "Klaus why don't you try and find which dimension Apophis is hiding in, if your so good at tracking things." I commanded. I wasn't used to speaking in this tone of voice. It was entirely new and it didn't seem to fit properly on my tongue.
I wasn't usually a person to lead others or follow others. I was better alone where I didn't have any responsibilities or expectations. Klaus looked a bit surprised. I guess being a ruler and all he didn't need to follow commands other than his own. Klaus turned around and walked away, possibly listening to me. "Well, that went better than expected" I said looking at Ra who was still glaring at Klaus. "Just saying," I continued trying to get Ra to divert his death stare, "Since Apophis is such a powerful deity he should give of some sort of energy source or something we could use to locate him right?"
"That is actually why it's going to be hard to find him. Because Apophis is such a powerful entity he is capable of masking his power with magic." With that a huge rumble shook the ground for a few seconds before stopping.
"What the hell was that?!" I asked worried.
Klaus stormed back into the room. "Dimensional rift," he said not bothering to look at us. Klaus continued speed walking holding about a dozen scrolls of paper, heading to the other side of the castle. Ra and I just stood there watching Klaus walk and mumble to himself before exchanging confused glances. Honestly, I've never understood how Klaus can time somethings so perfectly. "What's his problem," Ra asked,
"He's stressed out or something...Probably just mad." Another dimensional rift shook the castle and parts of the walls crumbled and fell to the ground. "Okay whatever is doing that needs to stop before the castle falls apart," I complained.
"Don't expect it to stop any time soon," A loud hiss interrupted Ra, "Apophis is probably the one causing this,.." Klaus walked back into the throne room mumbling at some paper. It must have been some conversation because he walked right into me. "Excuse me for being less important than your paper," I muttered slightly ticked.
"I'm sorry for being more concerned about Apophis than you princess," He muttered back sarcastically. "Anyways, as for the slithering bastard, he isn't in any charted dimension or realm that I know of."
"How are you incapable of finding a snake over ten thousand feet long?!" I screamed glaring at him.
Klaus raised his eyebrows unimpressed, "I'd like to see you try,"
I let out an angry sigh resisting the urge to impale him with one of my katanas. Ra stood there glaring at Klaus who was focused on his paper again. At least he had stopped talking to it. "So," I snapped, "Is there a reason that you can't find him?"
"No... I could steal the rest of the map records from the divines but...I'm not in the mood to steal something," Ra shot Klaus a look.
"You stole stuff from the Divines?!" Ra screamed astonished.
"Yes, multiple times," Klaus taunted, pretending to look over his charts. If Ra and Klaus decided to pick a fight here, Klaus was sure to win. Majority of Ra's powers would be ineffective to him here. If this were a battle in the mortal realm on other terms, Ra would win hands down. As long as a Shadow is within the Shadow realm they are protected from catching fire or burning. Ra's body was tensed just in case Klaus decided to try something. The shadow king on the other hand was standing there smirking. I'm my opinion Ra should drag Klaus into the mortal realm and kick his butt. Instead the two of them stood there sizing each other up, both debating to start a fight. "Okay, " I walked between them again, "If you two aren't going to do anything productive, I'm out of here." I opened a portal to the castle back in the mortal realm. Before I could step through a quiet voice rose from the silence. A man was standing there for I don't even know how long. He had short brown choppy hair and a long black cloak. Instead of arms, he had a set of large bat like wings. The man was a harpie. "Going back their wouldn't be ideal if you want to live," It sounded like he was whispering. Only one of his eyes were showing and if anything he was quiet intimidating.
"And why is that?" I countered, unimpressed.
"Because you'll be vulnerable. So unless to want to be held as ransom or dead I would avoid that dimension."
"I am not vulnerable!" I shrieked stomping my foot in rage, "I can kill things single handedly thank you very much!"
"Dark, Apophis can kill you by blinking," Klaus muttered staring at the ground.
"Thank you captain obvious, I thought you didn't want me in your dimension."
"I don't,"
"So why haven't you kicked me out yet?"
"There are reasons," Klaus tried to look like he didn't care about my existence but I could tell that there was a very big reason why I wasn't dead,
"And what is this reason, I know that if you could you woulds have killed me years ago, there is something important about my existence and I can tell you know," I said walking slowing up to him so I was in his face, glaring. Klaus glared at me back for a few seconds before turning around and walking away. I stormed off in the other direction. Klaus was such a stuck up and annoying person. I was created by him only thirty thousand years ago, you'd expect he'd say maybe why he created me or at least something. A small table was sitting on the edge of the hallway, a purple ceramic vase lay on top of it. I jumped into the air, turning around three hundred and sixty degrees as I hooked my foot around the vase, kicking it down the hallway nearly decapitating Ra who was following me. The vase just missed the left side of his face. The pottery flew past him and shattered on the floor. "Are you trying to murder people with decorations?" He asked with sarcasm.
I rolled my eyes, "No, unless one of those people is Klaus," Ra snickered a bit and pulled me into a hug kissing my forehead gently. I hugged him back smiling a bit. We stood there in tight embrace. Ra was gently running his fingers through my hair. For the first time since I entered this damned dimension everything seemed to be at peace, even though it wasn't. This was one of those moments where I wished fate could just trap me within it so I wouldn't have to worry about anything else. So I could forget about the world ending and people dying. So I could forget about Apophis destroying everything. So I could forget that Ra and I weren't supposed to be together.
