"Get away from him..." Kana said his voice actually audible for once. I glared at him moving in front of Apep.
"Why," I snarled, "He hasn't done anything."
"Get away from him," Kana repeated his voice getting slightly louder. I stayed where I was with my arms apart slightly. Kana glared at me before going back to glaring at Apep. I looked back at him to see him shaking and staring at Kana.
"Dark I don't want you to get hurt by him,"
"He's not going to do anything!" I screamed at him. Kana was either blind or on drugs. How the hell could he think that a mortal could hurt me.
"Wait, you can't see through that," Kana chuckled a bit and I growled at him. "I see a Naga wrapped around you,"
"I don't know what you're seeing but he's no Naga! He's a mortal!" I yelled defending Apep. Kana just continued glaring at me. He raised his hand and an enormous gust of wind blew me to the side. A blade formed above Kana's head. As Kana moved his hand the blade moved. Just before he could impale poor Apep I summoned one of my katana's and threw it so if just deflected Kana's sword.
"Dark you're making a mistake," Kana looked at me concerned. "You're under his trance, snap out of it," Trance...what the hell is this guys problem. 'He's lying.' I told myself. I growled a bit and raised my katana ready to fight if I had to. "Go away and leave him alone," I snarled.
"Unseen events to your eye, but I see it all," Kana glared at me one last time before backing up through his portal and disappearing.
"W-who was that?" Apep stuttered.
I sighed and looked at the wall slightly disappointed, "A possible enemy now," I started walking down the corridor assuming Apep would follow. Spirit seemed to have disappeared, she probably ran away or just left out of boredom. I continued walking down the corridor heading towards my room. I glanced behind for a second to make sure Apep was keeping up. Sure enough he was there but he had a sort of grin on his face that made me slightly uncomfortable. When we reached the destination I pointed at a door across from mine. "I hope you don't mind but you can hang out in the room next to mine," I smiled. Apep opened the door and looked around. The room was only slightly smaller then mine. A loud crash erupted from down the hallway. I looked to where it came from. "I should probably go check that," I muttered walking away leaving Apep by himself for a bit. The noise seemed to have come from the library. I pushed the door to the library open and saw a red king cobra slithering around causing destruction. "Can't my poor fucking library be left alone," I muttered drawing my katana's.
The cobra turned to face me hissing. It was similar to the one in the shadow dimension only it was a hell lot smaller maybe twenty feet long. I pointed my katana at it, "I'll give you three seconds to leave or you're gonna meet certain doom," The cobra lunged at me and I blocked its opened mouth with one of my katana's "Okay lets just skip the three god damned seconds and fight that always works," I rolled my eyes sarcastically at the cobra who was trying to bite me. Why I was talking to this thing. The cobra continued biting down on my one katana so I took the other one and plunged it through his head. The cobra hissed one last time before exploding into a pile of red sand. Great. I let my katanas disappear into the shadows again as I stood up. I wonder how how Apep was fairing. I walked out of the library and headed back to my room. When I glanced down the hallway I noticed a small group of people.
Two boys were prodding at some person lying on the ground. As I got closer I realized that the person on the ground was Apep and Kauso and Soran were poking him. "Stop that you two!" I screamed picking up my pace and summoning my katana's. Only Kaosu stood up unsheathing two katanas similar to mine. I growled jumping in the air and spinning trying to at least hit Kaosu. Instead he just held up his katanas which clashed against mine knocking me out of the air. I managed to land on my feet glancing at Apep who was lying on the ground with many glass shards sticking out of his back. Blood had stained his shirt and he was unconscious. I don't think Kaosu and Soran actually did this to him because those two were better at killing rather then just injuring someone. Soran just stayed next to Apep and was trying to heal him for some odd reason. Kaosu glared and lunged at me. I bent backwards and his sword just missed impaling my chest. Instead his other katana which barely scraped my side. I swung at him blindly trying to get my katana to make contact with his body but again I missed. Kaosu stifled a laugh, "You're pathetic you know that right,"
I just glared at Kaosu swinging my katana again. Our blades collided, shrieking like banshees from impact. We both pushed our katanas against each other in attempt to hit one other but our strength was equeally matched and nothing seemed to happened. I raised my foot and kicked him in the stomach as hard as possible. Kaosu fell backwards and was slightly discombobulated from the fall. I started ascending on Soran who was still next to Apep. I glared at him and he just looked at me innocently. Kaosu stood up, "Soran just let her kill herself if she really wants to," Soran got up and walked over to his brother who was leaning against the wall smirking. Something wasn't right. Nothing added up in this moment. I glanced back at Apep who was still lying on the floor, his back badly cut from the shards of glass. His white coat and black shirt were both torn and most of his back was showing. Focusing a bit more on his back I noticed that he had a tattoo on his back which resembled a double headed snake. The symbol of Apophis. A smirk spread across Apep's face as his form began to change into a naga. "God. Fucking. Dammit." I cursed under my breath. Kana was right. Apep was actually Apophis. Apophis smiled and laughed, "You actually thought that I was a pathetic mortal,"
I gripped the handles of my katanas ready to attempt at defending myself from certain death. Apophis was huge for a naga. He made Kon look minuscule. Dark black scales covered his snake half. Apophis didn't have a shirt on but instead, much like Ra, wore many gold armbands and wristbands in a showmanship of traditional epytainess. Apophis had bright golden eye which were slitted. His teeth were sharp and didn't seem to fit properly in his human head. He had the same hair as his humanoid form. I threw one of my katanas at him in hopes of causing some form of damage. Instead Apophis just caught it and laughed.
"Too bad Ra can't help you," He said chuckling. I could feel my whole body shaking. This very well could be the day I die. "What's wrong?" Apophis asked sarcastically, "Scared?" Apophis' snake half started coiling around my body and I was paralyzed with fear. He had tightly constricted my body gradually tightening his grip which would eventually snap me like a twig. I only had one of my katanas which was now tightly pressed against my body. I couldn't do anything with it anyways. I moved my wrists trying to see if I could free my hands somehow. There was a little bit of slack on my right had which let me move my wrist. With a not so smart idea in my head I changed my katana into a dagger. I pointed the blade at Apophis scales and stabbed up, underneath one of them. Apophis hissed in rage, dropping me. I stood up and summoned my other katana back. Apophis pulled the dagger out of his skin glaring at me.
I growled at him in anger before jumping in the air and swinging my katana, aiming for his face. Apophis managed to move out of the way before I decapitated him and knocked me out of the air with his tail. I fell on the ground landing on my back. Apophis lunged at me unhinging his jaw (which was as disgusting as it sounds) in attempt to bite me. I raised my katana just in time to block him and he bit down on the blade. Poison from his fangs seeped down the katana and onto my hand making it feel like it was on fire. I pushed on the katana hoping to shove it down his throat but Apophis was smart enough to let go of it. The giant snake hissed at me either in rage or just to try and scare me again. I already knew I probably wasn't going to live so there was no point in being scared. I summoned my other katana and held them both out in front of me in defence. Apophis got ready to lunge at me again but this time a sword flew out of nowhere hitting Apophis. I looked behind me to see Kana surrounded by eleven more floating swords. For once I was actually happy to see him. His face showed no emotion as he raised his hand and another blade flew at Apophis. "Go," He told me not even bothering to make eye contact.
"I'm not going anywhere," I glared at him. Apophis lunged at Kana but I smacked him in the face with the flat of my blade. Kaosu decided to stop being a lazy bastard and came flying at me. Of course being me I wasn't ready for the impact and Kaosu knocked me over. I landed on my back once again. Kaosu put his foot on my chest preventing me from getting up. He pressed the tip of his katana to my forehead. Before he could shiskebab my brains I melted into the floor and reappeared behind him, swinging my katana. I managed to cut his lower back just not very deep. Soran stood there watching the duel being a useless bastard which was totally fine. Less people who were trying to kill me. Apophis swung his tail across the ground just missing Kaosu but instead knocking me into the wall of the hallway. The impact hurt a lot considering I was used to passing through walls not running into them. Apophis had coiled his tail around my neck and was attempting to strangle me. I clawed at my neck trying to breathe. I could hold my breath for a considerably long time but not forever. Thank the gods Kana didn't want to watch me die from suffocation. He raised his hand and another sword impaled itself into his tail forcing him to let me go. Apophis went to lunge at me but before he could a fireball nailed him in the back of his head.
