The dragon pushed through the debris. It looked like a Chinese dragon, only more menacing. Its huge head was a shiny dark purple. Its mouth was home to thousands of razor sharp teeth that could impale me any second. The dragon had two long wisps of fur or hair (I couldn't tell from here) that trailed downwards like a moustache. There was a small tuft or fur/hair protruding from the bottom of its maw making it look like it had a fiery beard as well. Its body was long and thick, like an overgrown snake. The scales on its body mainly consisted of a very dark purple. Along the ridge of its back it had a flap of skin that went down to its tail. The flap of skin had lighter purple at the tips, giving the impression that the dragon was on fire when it was flying. The underbelly of the dragon was white, with scales that overlapped and shifted as the dragon moved.
My first reaction was to run but even if I did, the dragon would be able to track me down and catch me before I made it far. I stood there staring at it for a bit. I accessed my options, either I could fight it and die, run and die or teleport away and risk being killed by other shadows. Of course I made the stupidest idea possible and chose to fight the beast. The dragon roared again. I summoned my bow and arrows from the shadows and slung the quiver over my back. I grabbed an arrow and took aim for the dragons head. It didn't seem to have much armor other then the scales on its underbelly so finding a weak spot woulnd't be necessary. I shot the arrow hitting the dragon in the center of its head. It roared again before whipping its tail around attempting to slam me into a wall. I transformed into shadow form and passed through the wall harmlessly. I walked back through the wall and whipped another arrow into the notch of the bow. Aeron barked angrily at the dragon as I fired another arrow. I knew there was absolutely no way I could defeat it.
All of the sudden, a figure dressed in purple kicked my side making me topple over. I rolled over on to my back so I could see his face. He had long black hair that was tied into a pony tail and dark skin. His eyes were white and one of them had a scar over it. The boy smirked at me, and I glared back. Something about the boy seemed familiar, I just couldn't put my finger on it. I was so focused on the boys face and the way he looked that I didn't realize the dragon was preparing for attack. The mouth of the beast was glowing bright purple, getting ready to blast me with fire. There was no way I could possibly get up and run out of range in time and if I went in to silhouette form, the fire would just hurt more. The dragon breathed fire. I closed my eyes and embraced for the flames. The burning spread through my body. The pain was almost unbearable and I screamed at the top of my lungs. Black dotted the edges of my vision. I swear I heard laughter coming from the boy as I lost consciousness.
I reopened my eyes to see two people standing over me. Well at first I thought that is was just one person, and I was just seeing doubles but they ended up being twins. They both looked exactly like the boy that kicked me down a few minutes ago. They were muttering at each other.
"Do you think she's alive?"
"Clearly she is, her eyes are open..."
"What was the plan again brother?"
"Shut up would you?!"
My ears were ringing and it made it nearly impossible to hear the whole conversation. Most of the time they sounded like a radio station that was out of range. The boys seemed to be arguing about something. One of the boys extended his his hand out to me, "Hello, my names Kaosu and that is my twin Soran." I grabbed onto his hand and he helped me up. Oddly enough none of my clothing or my skin was burned, which made me believe that I was dreaming or something. I pulled the hood of my cloak back over my head since it had fallen off again. I looked around the library. Nothing was damaged, there was no sign of fire, or dragon or anything for that matter. Even Aeron was missing. "Where's my dog?..." I muttered.
The twins seemed confused. "What dog?" Soran asked.
"Never mind...what happened to the dragon?" My words were slurred and I probably sounded really stupid. My mind couldn't seem to focus. Something wasn't right about this. I rubbed my eyes and opened them again to find the twins were gone. I looked around a bit, very confused. There was no sign of them or Aeron, or a dragon for that matter. All that seemed to be left of that experience was the spellbook I found earlier. It was lying on the ground page down. I picked it up and looked to see what page it was on. The page had a list of simple teleportation spells that could move you to harder to reach dimensions, such as the Shadow Dimension or the Divine Realm. Of course, Kaosu and Soran were real, they just used a portal and fled to a different dimension, but why didn't they take the spell book with them...
I walked out of the library holding the spellbook. I was so busy reading through the list of teleportation locations that I nearly walked into someone. It was the boy in green that I thought I saw earlier. He wore a green outfit with a long green scarf that had its ends on fire with bright green flames. His hair had two parts sticking up at the top that made him look like a green bunny. His eyes were also (GASP) green... The boy smiled. I backed up a bit smiling apologetically. "Sorry.." I said quickly trying not to give him a bad impression. Though, usually when you have grey skin and red eyes, the bad impression comes naturally. "That's alright." the boy said.
"Well..anyways, nice to meet you, my name is Dark.", my voice was a lot less slurred compared to earlier, but I still didn't sound totally normal.
The boy nodded, "My name is Tsuki." He started talking a bit about why he was here and where he came from (which somehow was the moon). I listened and stood there. He started talking about some of his siblings. The only name I remembered was Ra, who happened to be his older brother. His name sounded familiar somehow, but yet again, I couldn't think of where I knew it from. "That name sounds familiar.." I muttered.
"Well of course his name would be familiar, my brother is the god of the sun."
