Ra glared at Apophis who had turned himself around to face Ra. Both cursed in egyptain before Apophis lunged at Ra hissing. I stood still watching the two battle fiercely, Ra throwing fireballs and Apophis trying to bite him. I was so distracted by the battle that I didn't notice Kaosu coming back for revenge. Kana luckily had realized I was preoccupied and saved me from Kaosu's wraith. I was too afraid that if I tried to fight I would only screw something up. I was tempted to sink into the walls and run away from this moment. I watched as Apophis threw Ra across the corridor. I gripped the handles of my katanas angrily getting ready to launch myself at Apophis in all my fury but Kana stopped me. He pushed on my shoulder slightly, just enough to put me off balance and shot me a look that said; 'What the hell are you thinking you idiot'. It took a lot of effort to stay out of the way as Apophis and Ra quarreled. I watched Apophis spit poison and Ra throw fireballs. Both were obviously talking to each other by the way their mouthed move but no words reached my ears.
I felt so terrible. If I had listened to Kana none of this would be happening. I watched Apophis slam poor Ra into the wall making it crumble a bit on impact. It didn't seem to phase Ra much as he got up and threw a fireball at Apophis who reeled back screaming in pain. I couldn't help but snicker a bit. Apophis well deserved that. "Kana stop playing around. We all know that's not how you fight," Ra said sternly. Kana turned and nodded.
"Yes, my lord," I snickered a bit when he called Ra "my lord". It didn't sound right. Kana split himself into three seperate persons, each wielding about a dozen swords. Apophis stared at Kana before summoning Shadows. They weren't normal like I was. The looked as though they were made of ink, oozing and seeping black liquid like substance. They were soulless, brainless creations that probably had no idea what they were doing. Ra ignored the minions and went after Apophis causing fire to go everywhere. I took a step back to avoid the hecktic flames. Apophis swung his tail at Ra knocking him over. Knowing that he was in a weaker state Ra burst into a collumn of fiery fury and when is disapeared a wave of fire blast from where he was laying, which Kana had to shield me from so I wouldn't have to deal with unbearable pain. Apophis had slithered over to Ra gripping his neck tightly using the floor against poor Ra. Using his tail like a knife Apophis had impaled Ra in the stomach, his blood oozing from the would onto his tail. "This will be the day everything goes dark and I rule the divines," Apophis cheered triumphantly.
Ra just chuckled, "Over my dead body," He growled. I watched as Ra's blood started to thicken, changing from blood into what looked like lava. Molten, scorching lava. I watched as Apophis scremed in pain as the lava burned his flesh, and honestly I felt a pang of guilt watching him writhe in pain. Ra looked at Kana nodding as the harpie swung one of his floating swords decapitating Apophis and putting him out of his misery. The snake body writhed around on the floor still in pain as the head lolled onto the ground blank eyed. Kana rushed over to Ra almost immediatly after and I followed. Pain and guilt washed over me as I stared at my boyfriend who was bloody and battered. This was all my fault. No one else here was to blame as much as I was. I fell to my knees next to him crying, "This is all my fault," I sobbed, "I'm so sorry,". Ra put his hand to my cheek possibly to comfort me. I couldn't help but glance at the wound Apophis had inflicted on him. Kana who had finished healing Ra had turned his attention to the scarab on Ra's necklace which had started moving. Kana picked him up and gently prodded at the shell of the scarab. I stood up staring at it. I never knew that Ra's necklace was alive.
