Andrew's POV

I woke up in my bed, the space next to me was empty.

I got up using the bathroom before I went to check on the kids. Ant was still asleep and Bria wasn't in her crib.

I went downstairs smelling food. I smiled when I seen my girl cooking breakfast. "Hey baby." I said coming up behind her. Kissing on her neck, she smelled so good.

"Hey hot stuff" she said turning around in my arms. I leaned down pecking her lips a few times.

I heard Bria start to get fussy so we pulled away. "You jealous baby girl?" I asked as I went to her, picking her up.

"Girl, don't be. You can have him." Christina said waving me off.

I held Bria as I walked passed Christina, using one hand I reached down and pinched her butt for her little comment. "Ow" she said before she tried to swing on me with the spatula.

"I have our daughter in my hands." I said acting as if what she did was criminal.

She went back to cooking and I kissed her cheek a few times. I loved getting on her nerves.

She made our plates when Ant came in right on time. I swear this boy was part blood hound or something.

"Good morning man" I said to him. He gave me a small wave as he went to sit down. He was clearly still waking up.

"Good morning love. Your dad and I had something we wanted to tell you."

"What?" He asked looking at us.

Christina came to stand next to me. "We're getting married."

"Andrew"

"Andrew can you hear me dawg."

I blinked a few times seeing Ralphy standing over me. "Yo, what the fuck?" I looked around seeing I was in a hospital room. I looked down realizing I was in a hospital bed. "What happened?"

As I came to I started to feel pain along my left leg starting at my foot reaching all the way to my hip.

"Ima get the doctor. I'll be right back."

I sighed as I sat back remembering the game. "Fuck" I yelled.

Ralphy and the doctor walked in moments later. "Hello, Mr. Barnes. How are you feeling?"

"Like shit. When can I get back to playing?"

"Unfortunately, there's a chance you won't be back this season. You dislocated your hip and there's a fracture in your foot. It will take almost two months before you can walk again. After that you'll need physical therapy. Good news is surgery went well and your healthy so you should fully recover. Is there anything I can do for you?" I shook my head looking out the window.

He left and I could feel Ralphy's eyes on me. "Are you just going to stare at me all day?" I asked somewhat annoyed.

"Well I've been doing it all night so yeah."

It was quiet just me in my thoughts. I hated it. "Where is everybody?"

"I told them I would stay with you. The girls are watching the kids. Everybody will be back in the morning." I nodded. I heard the phone ringing as he FaceTimed someone. "Hey baby"

"Hi" she responded tiredly. "Is he just now waking up?"

"Yea, and you owe me fifty bucks."

"You're fucking lying. He didn't"

"Oh but he did."

I looked at Ralphy wondering what the hell they were going on about. He had a mischievous look on his face.

"Oh brother, what's wrong with our friends?"

"Clearly they need to take notes"

"Clearly" they talked on the phone for a while longer before he hung up. He was more back to him self as he had this big stupid grin on his face. How could he look so happy as I lay here miserable.

"You're a shit friend. You know that." He shrugged.

I woke up as the sun was barely setting. "The kids just got here. I'll be back."

I nodded, "aye can you bring me some food too."

"Yea I got you."

I turned on the tv scrolling through channels. Christina was the first to walk in. "Hey" I said as I sat up.

Shit I didn't even brush my teeth. Ralphy's definitely a shit friend.

"Hey, how are you? I mean I know not great but how do you feel?"

This was a side of Christina I hadn't seen in a while. Nervous and caring. It almost made the injury worth it. Almost.

"I'm fine" I lied as the pain was unbearable.

"You're lying." She scolded me.

"I'm ok. That's all that matters." She smiled slightly and I felt my own lips turn up at the sight.

Her hair was in its natural curly state. I couldn't help myself when I reached out to play with a curl that hung in front of her face.

She bit her lip as a blush ran across her face.

"Daddy," we heard as Ant ran into the room. Christina backed away as she looked around the room. I smirked at her before bringing my attention to Anthony.

Ant tried getting on the hospital bed. He was too small so Christina helped him. "Ant remember what I told you. Be careful, daddy's leg is hurt."

He nodded looking at me with this almost sad expression. "Come here, I'm ok" I said reaching for him.

I held him and he began to cry. "Don't cry daddy's fine." I told him, holding him tighter.

Then suddenly Bria began to cry. Christina took her from Ralphy and she calmed down a little as Ant began to calm down as well.

1 week later

Christina's POV

"Ant, let's go." I yelled from downstairs.

We were on our way to Dru's house. It had been a week since the incident and while Dru was recovering we thought it best Ant stay with me.

It was hard tho, Ant would get sad sometimes, especially at night, missing his father. It broke my heart seeing him like that.

"I'm coming" he yelled racing down the stairs.

"Oh my goodness" I said as I caught him before he fell off the last step. "Please be careful, love"

We drove for about 15 minutes before we arrived. Ant was in high spirits, excited to see his dad. It was so cute because him being excited cause his sister to laugh. I smiled looking at them through my rear view mirror.

"Alright, let's go."

I had a key so I used it. As I got the door unlocked someone answered. A small curvy woman, stood at the door. Her hair was down and she was in scrubs but they were clearly too tight as it looked like second skin and the v-neck on her shirt was low.

"Hey, you must be the baby mama" she attempted to greet.

"Christina" I corrected her. "Go ahead,"I told Ant before I followed him.
