Andrew's POV
2 weeks later
"That's it." My physical therapist said as I did the exercise she had me doing.
We were in the pool doing small leg and hip movements. It was getting easier to do some of the exercises but I still got frustrated sometimes with the slow progress I was making.
I wanted to be back before for finals but as days passed it was looking less likely to happen. It didn't matter how hard I tried my body didn't respond how I needed it to.
I had good and bad days. Today happened to be a good day as I ran through the exercise with limited complications or pain.
"Thanks doc" I spoke as I crutched my way out of the office and to my drivers car. I sat in the back with my legs across the seats stretching out as much as I could. My hip was slightly bothering me but nothing a few Advils couldn't cure.
My phone rang in my pocket, seeing it was my manager I picked up. "Yo, what's the deal?" I asked
"Hey man, I got good news for you. I got a few late night shows lined up and if your interested I could secure you an acting role in the season premier of insecure." He spoke with enthusiasm.
Acting had always been something I wanted to do on the side or maybe even after my basketball days were done. So I was more than excited to hear about an acting opportunity.
"Yea man, that sounds dope. Set that up and just send me a schedule. I ain't got shit else to do." I told him. We went over a few more business things before we hung up and I was sitting outside of my parent's house.

Christina's POVThe music blasted as I instructed my last class of the day. My arms were tired but I pushed through the last few steps. The energy encouraging me to dance on.
"Woooo, that was great." I told the class. "I'll see you all next week." I waved before going to grab my water bottle.
"This has to be my favorite dance yet." One of my dancer's said. She was a young and pretty brown skin girl, probably just finished high school. She was one of the better and more disciplined dancers.
"I'm glad you liked it. You did an excellent job in class." I responded
"Thank you. I really enjoy your class. I've seen you dance before with Trey and one day I hope that I can do that too. Being a dancer has always been a passion of mine."
I smiled. "We'll keep up the hard work and I'm sure you will be. You have a lotta potential Danny."
She smiled back. "Thanks Chrissy." I watched her eyes move to the door and her mouth was agape. I looked in that direction to see Lance.
"Lance" I spoke somewhat surprised. I walked up to him giving him a small hug. That was until he wrap his strong arms around me holding me a little longer than I expected him too.
"Hey, how have you been?" His eyes racked over me and he licked his lips.
"I've been good. How are you?" I wanted to keep the conversation short. I didn't know why he was here and I definitely didn't need paparazzi poking around making false accusations.
"Yea, you look good." His eyes finally found mine as they bored into me. "Oh, I came over to give you this. I bought it already before... you know. Anyways I wanted you to have it." He handed me a box with a ribbon on it.
"It's a gift for Boo.""Thank you, but I can't accept this."
"Come on, you don't even know what it is yet."
I looked up at him and than I opened the gift in my hand. I saw a folded up piece of paper, I took it out reading over the words.
