Andrew's POV

I was asleep in bed when I heard noise coming from the baby monitor. I looked at the time seeing 6:30 am.

I looked down at Christina who was still sleeping peacefully. I unwrapped myself from her getting out of bed.

It was becoming easier to walk and even tho the therapist had been against it I do light jogs on the treadmill. Feeling somewhat like my old self. But I still had a long way to go.

I walked down the hall into Bria's room, to find her babbling to herself. "Good morning Angel" I spoke softly. "How's dada's girl this morning?" I spoke taking her out of her crib. She smiled and started wiggling all over the place with excitement. I smiled at her, my heart growing from the sight of her.

I changed her diaper and put her in a cozy sweat outfit, before we headed downstairs. I placed her in her little swing chair as I thought about making breakfast.

I threw the bacon in the oven as I cooked the potatoes on the stove. Bria was becoming fussy so I found her a bottle in the fridge warming it up before I fed it to her.

I walked back and forth from the kitchen and living room as I watched reruns of games from this season. I studied how each team would move on both offense and defense.

I was preparing myself.

I had approximately 3 weeks before finals and still ways to go before being back on the court. That didn't matter though to me 3 weeks was enough time. I just needed to work harder than I'd ever have before.

Omniscient

Lance and Ashley sat in Lance's car arguing. It was about 11 o' clock in the afternoon and the two had just made it to the abortion clinic.

"I'm doing this for you." Ashley said using her pointer finger, jamming it hard into Lance's chest.

Lance was frustrated. He hadn't expected Ashley to get pregnant nor did he intend to sleep with her again but here they were.

"We both agreed on this. You aren't ready to be a mother and we're no good together. It's a fucked up situation."

"It doesn't have to be." Ashley's eyes began to plead with Lance's. "We could figure it out, together."

Lance had almost fallin' for her words.

Together

The word echoed in his mind making him anxious all over again. He felt trapped.

Lance knew that if him and Ashley had a kid together she would never leave him alone. He would be stuck with her and that thought actually terrified him.

"We can't. I can't. Ashley, I'm sorry." He watched as her once pleading eyes began to fill with water.

At this point Ashley was livid. She could never understand how a man, her man could be this cruel. She thought he loved her and she him but their relationships was always a battlefield. That's what made it so fun.

Tears streamed down Ashley's face as she laughed bitterly. "So you would play step daddy to that tramp's kid but you can't even step up for yours?" She laughed this time more sincere. "You're a fucking joke." She got out the car slamming the door.

Andrew stood in the mirror as his stylist did the last few touches for his look. He usually didn't like it when people tried to dress him but in this case he made an exception.

She was fire and she had mouthpiece. He was also hoping he could take her home after the show too. Test out a few theories.

He watched as she bent down to fix something on his pant leg. Her ass reflecting in the mirror giving him an almost perfect view.

"Babe, why are you looking at me like that?"

He licked his lips realizing he had been caught. He smiled pulling her into him. He then repeatedly kissed the side of her face making sure to get the spot just below her ear. "I love you, Angel"

"I love you my flower."

"Ready on set in 5," they over heard letting them know it was almost time for the late night interview.

Andrew reluctantly pulled away from Christina's embrace to get ready to go on a live tv interview.

"Andrew we saw that you and Christina Daniels, a background dancer recently had a baby girl. Congrats! How has the dad life been treating you?" The host said.

Andrew sat in the chair next to where the host sat. He wore a black buttoned up shirt leaving the last two undone. He had on a pair of navy blue pants paired with some black dress shoes. He sat comfortable as he always had in the spotlight.

"Yea man, I'm blessed for real. I have the best future wife slash baby momma ever. She's a wonderful mom to our little girl, Bria and our son Ant but you know I just love being a dad you know."

"That's good. I'm a dad myself, two girls and one boy and I can say from experience having children is the best and worse thing ever." He laughed at his somewhat cruel joke and Andrew sat there with a blank expression.

The interview continued with the host attempting to make jokes and Andrew giving him a curt smile or nod here or there.

Christina stood patiently at the side of the show watching her man intently. She could tell he didn't want to be there based on his body language. He was slouching letting her know he was ready to go home.

"Tonight we have another special guest joining us." Andrew was surprised by the news but it didn't show. He sat up in his chair a little more engaged and curious to who it could be. Guesses of his teammates popping in came to mind or his mom.

"They should bring you out there." Christina thought she was hearing things when she heard his voice. She looked to her left slightly behind her seeing Lance.

He was dressed in a nice suit, fresh haircut, and a watch Christina had bought him while they were together.

"Um what are you doing here?"

Christina thought, no way they had booked her future man with her briefly past man. It was too coincidental. Christina had a bad feeling about this.

"It's one hella of a season for this young rookie. He has had 3 triple doubles in the past 5 games and he's leading the rookie's in most points making him 5th of all time." Andrew's face was neutral but hearing the stats he knew. His face morphed into one of slight discomfort.

"Welcoming the rookie of the year, Lance Hanes"
