A Trip to Mexico

 After defeating Dr. Armando once and for all, the members of C.E.L.E. and their dogs spent several days relaxing at home and finished a case that they were given about a week ago. One day, when the mail came, Lila walked outside and received it, which included a gold envelope. When she went back inside, she opened the gold envelope.

"Guys, look. We won a free world tour, including the complimentary use of a private jet!" Lila said. Everyone was super excited and quickly made plans of which countries they should travel to first and began to pack their bags.

After three days of deciding where to go, the C.E.L.E team decided Mexico would be the first stop on their world tour. After packing their bags, they found their private jet on top of a roof of a small building.

"I can't believe this is actually happening!" Chary said as they stepped into the jet. They typed in the location they wanted to go, pushed autopilot, and took their seats, buckling up for safety. The plane took off after a few seconds.

For the first fifteen minutes, they read their books and looked out their windows to see the views of Minnesota. Suddenly the jet was flying out of control! The jet hit hard left, and right turns; it went up and down very hard and even upside down!

"This is awesome!" Lila yelled with her hands in the air.

"I know, this is so crazy! I love it!" Elliott replied.

"How do you think this is awesome? I think I'm going to be sick," Elina asked.

"I think I might throw up at any moment, too," Chary added, looking slightly green. After what seemed like several hours, the jet finally landed.

"That was so much fun! Let's do it again!" Lila said as she was getting out of the jet with her suitcase and Connie in his pet cage.

"I totally agree, girl!" Elliott said as he was coming down the staircase with his suitcase. He high-fived Lila as Elina and Chary came out of the jet with their bags and Patch in his cage, clutching their stomachs.

"What in the world happened to the autopilot?" Elina asked.

"I'll check.... In one moment," Chary said after she set down her bag and Patch. She went around the jet and came back one minute later.

"Much better. I will be back in one moment," Chary said as she was walking back up the staircase of the jet again. She came back about three minutes later to show that her younger sister Lizzy was flying the plane!

"Lizzy. What are you doing flying our jet?" Chary asked her sister.

"Since I haven't flown a plane or jet in a while, I decided I would fly this one!" Lizzy explained in a super innocent-like voice.

"Well, how about you go home and then put the jet on autopilot so it can come back here, okay?" Lila offered.

"Okay," Lizzy replied. Lizzy went into the jet, and it took off. After the jet took off, the members of C.E.L.E. and the dogs found a taxi cab and rode to their hotel. After unloading out of the taxi, they walked into the hotel lobby.

Elliott walked up to the front desk and spoke rapid Spanish to the man behind the desk. During the conversation between Elliott and the man at the front desk, the girls and dogs glanced at each other, looking somewhat confused, and finally just shrugged. After one minute of talking to the guy at the front desk, Elliott finally returned to the girls with a room key.

"What were you saying up there?" Chary asked Elliott.

"I was just requesting an extra key since all of us are sharing the same room," Elliott replied.

"Well, I didn't know you were fluent in Spanish," Lila added. They went into the elevator and pushed the button to the floor that their room was on. They opened their hotel door. Inside, the place looked like a hotel back home, except it had a bright Mexican-themed color scheme. The beds were yellow, the trim around the door and floors were red with gold swirls, and the walls and ceiling were green. They unpacked their bags into the room's small closet, one chest of drawers, and one dresser. Then, they left the hotel to go out for dinner, bringing home the leftovers for Connie and Patch.

For the next day, they decided to visit some of the sites that Mexico had to offer. They started their day at Cozumel, enjoying the beach and Gulf of Mexico. After a light lunch of fish tacos and lukewarm cola with no ice, they traveled via bus into the jungle to visit the ruins at Chichen Itza. After exploring the ruins for about 20 minutes, they heard a scream of terror coming from the pyramid.

"Let's go now!" Lila yelled as she pulled on her spy outfit. The other quickly followed suit. They grabbed their backpacks and ran to the Chichen Itza pyramid. When they arrived there, they realized why everyone was screaming, because it appeared as though someone was trying to steal it!

"Not so fast, Felix!" Elina yelled out at the robber, who she recognized immediately.

"Elliott, you cause a diversion, Elina, you and the dogs cut the ropes around the pyramid; Chary, you come with me so we can stop Felix from stealing this super famous landmark," Lila yelled out. They put the plan into action. While Elliott yelled at Felix, Elina quickly started cutting the ropes, and Chary and Lila ran up on the Chichen Itza pyramid to get to Felix.

"Stop right now, Felix. Because if you do not, Lila and I will throw you off the Chichen Itza pyramid!" Chary yelled at Felix.

"Chary, I thought we agreed that we would not push Felix off the pyramid right away, even if he does not stop trying to steal it," Lila whispered to Chary.

"Sorry, I seem to be getting carried away. I want to push Felix off right now," Chary replied.

"Why would I stop my amazing plan just because my greatest enemies told me to?" Felix asked. He began to walk up to Chary while she walked backward. Unfortunately, Chary didn't know where the ledge ended, so she accidentally walked off the top of the pyramid! Luckily she was able to hang on the edge of the top step.

"Chary! Are you okay?" Lila asked.

"Yes, I am fine. Just stop Felix!" Chary replied. Suddenly Felix came up to Lila and began to chase her around the top of the Chichen Itza.

"Elliott. Help me!" Lila yelled down to Elliott. So Elliott ran to the top of Chichen Itza while Felix still was chasing Lila.

"Deal with Felix. I'll help Chary," Lila said. So Elliott punched Felix in the face, which made Felix mad at Elliott, so Felix chased Elliott. While Felix was chasing Elliott, Lila ran over to Chary, held out her hand, and lifted Chary back up on top of the Chichen Itza.

Being a master of karate, Chary began to do some karate moves and had a karate match with Felix. After Elina had finished cutting all the ropes on the Chichen Itza Chary, Lila and Elliott quickly climbed down the steep stairs of the pyramid to safety. When Felix was flying off in his helicopter and realized that he didn't have the Chichen Itza, he yelled.

"Curse you, C.E.L.E.!" he yelled out as his helicopter flew off.

"Looks like we stopped the villain and saved the Chichen Itza today. Good work, guys. Now, who thinks we should continue our vacation in Mexico as it was planned?" Lila said to her friends. Everyone agreed, so they went back to exploring the ruins and spent the rest of the day there!
