After getting back from their trip to Brazil from the world tour that they won, the members of C.E.L.E. decided to go to Italy. When they arrived in Italy, they checked into their hotel. For their first day in Italy, they would go to the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta.
"According to this book I bought, the Cathedral of Santa Maria was created by of in 639 and was renovated in about 864," Chary read from the book that she bought from the hotel gift shop. They then went to the Piazza Dei Cavalieri.
"Well, looks like this is one of the greatest town squares in Italy," Elliott said. Finally, they went to the Leaning Tower of Pisa.
"So why is the Leaning Tower of Pisa leaning?" Elina asked.
"When it was being constructed, the ground didn't have a good foundation, so the tower leaned when it was done," Lila explained.
"But it will be leaning no more after today!" a voice yelled from above. They looked up. On top of the Leaning Tower of Pisa was Felix!
"Not again," Elina said to herself.
"Why is it that every time that we go on a vacation, something bad happens?" Elliott asked. Suddenly more people came out of Felix's helicopter with ropes. They all threw the lines around the taller part of the tower.
"Elina, you climb up the tower to stop them!" Lila yelled out. Elina ran up the tower and onto the roof.
"Why do you want to do this, Felix?" Elina asked once she was on the roof.
"I want to make the Leaning Tower of Pisa become straight like the other buildings in Pisa, which will make me famous," Felix explained.
"But how would you be famous if the Leaning Tower of Pisa is no longer famous after you make it straight?" Elina asked.
"I will still be famous because I made it like any other building," Felix replied. However, because the tower was leaning, Elina was losing her balance and fell off the roof. After she fell, she grabbed the ledge.
"Guys. Help! Gravity is getting the best of me!" Elina yelled.
"Chary, save Elina! Elliott, you and I will try to stop Felix!" Lila yelled. Chary quickly built a trampoline and told Elina to let go. After some hesitation, Elina released her grip from the ledge and landed on the trampoline safely.
Lila and Elliott ran up the Leaning Tower of Pisa as quickly as they could. After getting to the top and some panting, Lila came up with a plan.
"You deal with Felix, and I will deal with the ropes," Lila explained. Elliott walked up to Felix.
"Hey, Felix. Why do you constantly follow us around the world and try to steal and change famous monuments?" Elliott asked. During Felix's answer, Lila went to the ropes, untied them, and tied them to rocks to make it feel like they were still holding on to something. For Elliott, because he was not a master of karate or gymnastics, Felix chased him all around the tower.
"Chary and Elina, come up here and help Elliott!" Lila yelled. Elina and Chary quickly ran up the tower and caught Felix's attention! Then, Chary attacked Felix with several karate moves and, after about one minute, Elina came over and knocked him out with one mighty leg kick to the head!
Deciding that Felix wasn't going to give them the cue, the workers would change the direction of the tower at that moment. However, because Lila had tied rocks to the ropes, when the workers pulled on the strings, the workers pulled down the stones instead of the Leaning Tower of Pisa straightening out. Before everyone started screaming at the workers and before Felix woke up, the members of C.E.L.E. ran back to their hotel with their dogs.
"After this adventure, I have two questions: why is Felix trying to change and steal famous monuments, and why does he keep following us on our vacations?" Elliott asked during dinner. After a few minutes of thinking, Lila made her guess during dessert.
"Maybe he is trying to start a new collection of monuments around the world and wants to be famous," Lila replied.
"After dessert, let's check our luggage and see if he planted any tracking devices in our luggage to track us wherever we are," Chary said. After everyone finished their desserts, they went back up to their room and looked around for any tracking device. However, they didn't find anything, so they went to bed thinking of how Felix kept on knowing where they were.
