"Hey, guys! Guess what? A guy named Eric asked me out to a date to a romantic French restaurant, and I said yes!" Chary explained to her colleagues excitedly.
"Do you think that you guys have ever met in person before?" Lila asked.
"I think he might have gone to the same school as us but was two years older," Chary replied.
That night Lila took out her ninth-grade yearbook to see if there was a picture of Eric. She finally found it in the eleventh-grade section and learned that he was actually Dr. Armando's older brother! The next day Lila tried to warn Chary, but Chary didn't believe her. She later told Elina and Elliott.
"Did you tell Chary yet?" Elliott asked, for he completely believed her.
"I did, but she didn't believe me," Lila explained.
"Do you have a plan yet?" Elina asked because she also totally believed Lila.
"We all go to the restaurant looking like people who work there and make sure that Eric doesn't attack or hurt Chary," Lila replied. They began to work on the plan. Elliott began to build the transporter that would take him, his sister, Lila, and the dogs to the restaurant and work on his french accent while Lila and Elina began to sew all of the costumes. Lila worked on her dress, the dogs' outfits, and Elina's costume, while Elina worked on her brother Elliott's outfit and all the berets.
Finally, the day of Chary's date at the restaurant arrived. After Chary left the house, Lila, Elina, Elliott, and the dogs put on their costumes.
"Why do I always need to wear a mustache when we are going undercover?" Elliott asked after putting on his costume.
"It looks good on you, it makes you look different, and it looks natural and believable when you wear it," Lila explained, who was happy with her waitress costume, which included a red and blue dress, a white apron, blue flats, red glasses and her hair in a french braid.
"Besides, the dogs are wearing mustaches and berets as well," Elina pointed out. They stepped into the transporter that Elliott finished and were in the restaurant Chary said she was going to.
"Elliott, you pose as a waiter, Elina, you pose as a hostess, and I will just walk around cleaning tables that are close to where Chary and Eric are going to sit at," Lila explained.
"Okay. I will watch the dogs as well," Elliott added.
"Make sure you use your best french accent," Elina told Elliott. Chary and Eric finally arrived at the restaurant. Elina guided them to a table that Elliott and Lila would be close to when working. Elliott came to the table and took the order using his best french accent.
"Excuse me, but why do I feel something fluffy moving around my legs?" Chary asked after Elliott took the order because Connie and Patch went under the table and were cuddling the bottom of Chary's legs. Elliott called for the dogs, and they came out from under the table.
After he apologized, Eric asked for the lights to be dimmed. About ten minutes after the lights were dimmed, Eric leaned toward Chary! Lila immediately took out her walkie-talkie to talk to Elliott.
"Elliott, Eric is trying to kiss Chary! Get their meals out now!" Lila whispered.
"But the meals aren't ready yet," Elliott replied.
"Just grab the first two meals that you see and bring them out," Lila ordered. Elliott came out just before Eric tried to kiss Chary and stopped it in time.
"Sir, we didn't order this," Eric said rudely to Elliott after seeing what Elliott presented them. After Elliott apologized, he took the food and brought it back to the kitchen. Eric didn't try to kiss Chary for the rest of the night.
Finally, dessert came where Eric ordered him and Chary cups of coffee and dessert for both of them.
"Excuse me for one moment. I need to use the bathroom," Chary said after Elliott brought out the desserts and coffee. However, while Chary was in the bathroom, Eric took out a small vial, opened it up, and poured some of the contents into Chary's glass! Lila immediately recognized it as poison.
When Chary came back, Eric proclaimed a toast where Chary raised her cup of coffee and was going to drink the poisoned coffee! Luckily, just before Chary put the cup to her lips, Lila ran up to her and knocked it out of her hand. Everyone looked at the table that Chary and Eric were sitting at after they heard the glass shatter.
"I am so sorry about that," Lila said to Chary as she began to clean up the broken glass.
"Can I get a refund on that?" Chary asked.
"I just saved your life, Chary; why should I give you a refund on that?" Lila replied.
"Wait, how do you know my name?" Chary asked after Lila said her name.
"One minute," Lila said as she took off her glasses and removed the french braid from her hair.
"Lila?!?!?! What are you doing here?" Chary asked with a startled look on her face.
"I told you that your date was Dr. Armando's older brother, but you wouldn't listen. I knew that I had to sneak into the restaurant and pose as a worker to make sure he didn't attack or hurt you," Lila explained.
"I came along as well," Elina replied as she walked up to the table, removing her braid and beret.
"Let me guess, the waiter was Elliott," Chary guessed after Elina revealed her true identity.
"How did you know it was me? Was it the accent, the costume, or the mustache?" Elliott asked, coming out of the kitchen without his fake accent, beret, or mustache.
"It was none of that. It was the dogs. As well as knowing that your sister and Lila are here at the moment, I believed that you had to be here as well," Chary explained. They then left the restaurant and Chary's date.
"I'm sorry that I didn't listen to you at first," Chary told Lila after they were back home.
"It's fine, Chary. If I ever give you advice again, I recommend that you take it," Lila replied.
