After getting back from their Italian adventure, the members of C.E.L.E. decided to go to London, England next.
When the plane finally landed, and after going to a cafe for a small snack of biscuits (cookies), they went to their hotel, which was very elegant with chandeliers above and fancy canopy beds. The next day they decided to go to Westminster Abbey, a famous church.
"I heard that this church was founded in 960 and held the coronations of British rulers since 1066," Elina said when they were inside the beautiful landmark. They then went to Buckingham Palace, which was the home of the British royal family when monarchs ruled, and then they finally went to Big Ben.
"According to this book, Big Ben was opened in 1859 and is the nickname of the Great Bell of the clock," Chary read from a tourist book.
"But I will change the time of it!" someone yelled from above.
"Felix! You stop right now, or we will run all the way up to you!" Lila yelled up at Felix as soon as she figured out who he was.
"Why should I?" Felix asked.
"Elliott, you and I are going up Big Ben," Lila told Elliott. Because the minute hand was on the three, Elliott used his grappling hook and climbed up to it with Lila on his side. After getting to the top, they climbed onto the clock's hand.
"So it looks like for the first time change, I will have the clock be 15 minutes fast," Felix said after Elliott and Lila were standing on the hand. Suddenly the minute hand quickly went onto the six, so Elliott and Lila fell off! Luckily before they fell to their doom, Elliott grabbed onto the tip of the hand, and Lila held onto his waist for dear life.
"It looks like it's going to be harder to get rid of you than I thought, so I think I will have the clock be six hours fast!" Felix yelled.
"Not again," Elliott said. The hand suddenly spun around like crazy, but Elliott kept holding on to it, and Lila still held on to Elliott's waist.
"The next time that the hand gets to the six, hop into the window of the little room that Felix is in," Lila told Elliott.
The battle was getting so intense that people at tables down below who were drinking tea and having biscuits traded that for big buckets of popcorn (they gave their old snacks with no chocolate to Connie and Patch, who were looking at them with begging faces). Finally, the hand arrived at the six once again. Elliott threw himself and Lila into the window where Felix was hiding.
"I'll deal with Felix; you fix the time," Lila explained to Elliott.
"You, taking me on? This is going to be easier than taking candy from a baby," Felix said when he learned who his opponent was. He walked up to Lila and tried to punch her. Lila quickly avoided him and hopped on his back so she could give him a few good punches in the face.
During the battle, Elliott made it to the controls, and with all the strength he had left in him, pulled the lever to change the time. At last, after six or seven hard pulls, the clock was finally showing the actual time.
"Elina, Chary, make a trampoline to save us!" Lila yelled down when she was still holding on to Felix's back.
"I think you should hurry, though, because I am going to throw this girl off me right now," Felix told the others when they were making the trampoline. He then threw Lila off his back and out of the tower! Felix began to walk up to Elliott.
"So, we meet again. Too bad none of your colleagues are here to help you now," Felix began. "Because of that, I will change the time of Big Ben, and you won't be able to stop me!" he concluded.
He walked up to the controls, but Elliott slapped his hand. Because of this, Felix pinned Elliott down. Suddenly Elliott punched Felix's nose so hard that Felix was crying for his mommy.
Elliott escaped the pin during this time, and Felix went back down Big Ben through the moving gears. Meanwhile, Lila was still falling down Big Ben.
"Chary, Elina, are you done with the trampoline yet?" Lila asked the others when she was halfway down the tower."It's done, Lila!" Chary yelled up. Since her friends completed the trampoline, Lila began to fall more calmly. She finally landed on the trampoline.
"It's okay now, Elliott. You can come down now," Elina yelled up to her brother.
"Okay. Geronimo!" Elliott yelled after he jumped out of Big Ben. After he landed safely on the trampoline, they picked up the dogs with the leftover biscuits and returned to the hotel.
"Today was definitely one of the most intense days since the agency has opened," Chary said while they were having tea.
"I just hope that doesn't happen for at least a while," Lila added.
