My legs shook as I padded to the en-suite to clean myself up. When I flicked the light switch on, I caught my reflection in the mirror — wild hair, pink cheeks, swollen lips.

"Beautiful," Jim whispered, slipping his arms around my waist from behind. "I hope you didn't come here to do my job."

My fingers threaded through his. "Your job?"

"That's right." He kissed my shoulder. "The aftercare is my responsibility. Are you sore?"

"A bit. It's because it's been a while."

"And I wasn't as gentle as I should've been," Jim said, reaching for a washcloth. He opened the faucet and wet the fabric. Crouching down next to me, he gently wiped between my legs and ran his fingertips over my thighs and hips, examining me.

"Like what you see?" I bit my lip.

"Fucking love what I see," Jim said against the skin of my belly and pressed a kiss to it. "You're perfect."

"Thank you?"

Jim straightened up, chuckling under his breath. "Come with me."

He grabbed my hand and led me back to the bedroom. "Here." Jim handed me a T-shirt. "Wear this. If you want your clothes, everything's here, too. If you don't want any clothes, I promise we won't eat, and you'll be sorer in the morning."

I slipped the black tee with the logo of Jim's band over my head. It was long enough to cover my bum, but the mischievous glint in Jim's eyes told me he expected to catch a glimpse of what was under the cotton.

"Told you." He winked. "Perfect. Now I have this rockstar fantasy of having my way with my favorite fangirl backstage. How cool would that be?"

Laughing, I threw my arms around Jim's neck, pressing myself against his bare torso. "You're underdressed. No complaints, but we won't eat if you tease me with your rock-hard abs."

"You lick them in my fantasy, just so you know."

I rubbed my nose along Jim's jaw. "I might. Just feed me first."

Jim hugged me tightly, heaving a deep sigh.

I peered up at him. "What?"

"This." He kissed the tip of my nose. "You and me, together. I missed us, Ava."

Happiness filled my chest, making my heart soar. "I missed us too, Jimmy."

Jim pushed a strand out of my eyes and ran the back of his hand over my cheek. "So, we can call a restaurant, or we could have some cheese, cold meat, and wine I brought from Paris."

I grinned. "The latter. Do we have bread?"

Jim nodded, releasing me. He picked up his discarded white tee from the floor and put it on on his way to the kitchen area.
