-JENSEN'S POV-

"Okay, Pearce and Ackles to your marks. Let's try and get this done quickly, people!"

I sighed, jogging over to my mark. I couldn't agree more; the faster we could get through this, the better. I didn't want to spend more time than necessary around Scarlett, especially while she was mad at me. I shifted my weight as I waited for Scarlett to take her mark. She looked really good in Faith's outfit. She wore faded jeans, a sky blue blouse and had her hair braided over one shoulder. Faith's signature high heeled boots were on her feet.

We were filming the first scene with Dean back after he went MIA and it was supposed to get pretty intense.

"Action!"

Scarlett's back was to me, and she looked like she was preoccupied with something. I stepped forward, reaching my hand out to touch her shoulder when she spun around without warning, grabbing my wrist and stopping me short. Before she could do anything else, however, she froze, hazel eyes widening as she realized who had snuck up on her.

"Dean?! What the hell?"

"Hey, Williams," I grinned sheepishly. "How've you been?"

Scarlett gaped at me as if I'd grown a second head.

"How have I been?! You've been MIA for weeks, and the first words you have to say to me are to ask me how I've been?!"

"Yeah, I know. I'm sorry," I winced at her tone. "I swear I never meant to disappear on you like that, but something came up, and-"

"Something came up?" Scarlett interrupted. "You're joking. You really think you can just show up saying something came up, and that everything will be okay? You're mental, Winchester."

"Would you just give me a chance to explain?"

She glared at me, crossing her arms over her chest and pursing her lips.

"The Darkness, she's God's sister," I began. "Apparently she and I are connected because I bore the Mark. I disappeared because she took me. She wanted to explain it all to me."

"God's sister," Scarlett repeated. "You really expect me to believe that?"

"It's the truth, whether you want to believe it or not, Williams."

Scarlett scoffed, pulling the prop phone out of her pocket.

"What are you doing?" I asked her.

"Calling Sam. He's going to want to know his brother's back," she snapped at me.

"Would you wait a minute? I just want to talk to you right now."

"Seriously, Dean? Do you know how worried sick he's been since you went missing? And you expect me to not call him right now?"

"Just wait, alright? Then I'll call him myself."

"What's there left to talk about? You explained where you were and gave us our first lead on the Darkness we've gotten period. I think that's enough, don't you?"

"Damnit, Williams, you don't understand it, do you?"

"Understand what, Winchester? You were kidnapped by the Darkness, who you're connected to because of the time you spent with the Mark of Cain, and she told you she was God's sister. I think I understand pretty damn well."

I groaned, taking a step closer to her so we were almost touching.

"Aren't you curious?"  I asked her, voice lower than usual. "What it means for me to have a connection with her? Don't you want to know?"

"I think I have a pretty good idea, Dean," she whispered, eyes flickering down to my lips.

Her tongue darted out to wet her own lips before she locked eyes with me once more.

"You want to know why she let me go?"

"She told you what she wanted you to know. There wasn't much point in keeping you with her if she didn't have anything else to say."

"She would have kept me longer anyway," I shook my head. "She let me go because of something else."

I watched Scarlett swallow hard, her eyes darting down to my lips again before looking back up.

"W-what was that, Dean?"

"You," I whispered, leaning down and capturing her lips with my own.

It was like fireworks went off in my stomach. Kissing Scarlett felt like coming home. Her lips were soft and she automatically moved along with me, our bodies molding together like two halves made whole. Her hands came up and fisted in the hair at the base of my skull, tugging slightly. My own hands moved on their own accord, one pressing against the small of her back while the other went to the side of her face to cradle her jaw. I would have fisted it in her hair, but the braid made it difficult. All too soon, she pulled back, both of us gasping for air as we stared at each other.

"Cut!"

It was like the bubble around us had popped, and all of a sudden I became painfully aware of the crew members standing around filming the entire thing. Scarlett wet her lips, sucking the bottom one in between in her teeth briefly as she turned away. I fought the urge to reach up and ghost my hand over my lips that were still tingling slightly from the kiss. I wished we weren't on set in front of everybody so I could go over to her and claim her mouth with mine again. It amazed me how right something like kissing her felt. I had never felt that way with Dani the entire time we were together.

"Alright, we just need to get her initial reaction to him sneaking up behind her one more time. Back to your first marks."

I moved back into my starting position as Scarlett took her mark with her back toward me once more. When I heard the call to action I repeated my movement to touch her shoulder again, her spinning around and grabbing my wrist to stop the action before I could make contact. Before either of us could voice our dialogue, the scene was cut once more and she quickly let go of me, moving further away.

"Alright, we're good, people. Let's set up for the next one."

I opened my mouth to say something to Scarlett, but she had already hurried off.
