Two days after their initial encounter with Piemon, the group returned to the Digital World. Hiraku and the other original Chosen Children had passed along the information that they had managed to gather regarding the fact that there were still distortions in the Digital World's barrier that were getting worse, and as soon as he received such tips, Koushiro set up yet another journey for the full group so that they could start to find some answers. Time was of the essence the same way that it always had been, and so, he was more than able to convince everyone to get into the Digital World's gate despite their previous hesitations. Even Taichi and Yamato, who seemed to absolutely despise the idea t first, wound up going along with it because they knew that there was only one option if they wanted to find a way to save the Digital World.

Piemon had to be holding true to his promise. None of them had seen it yet, but they were all smart enough to know that he was out there doing something awful to the occupants of the Digital World while they were trying to figure out what to do next. Koushiro knew that this was one of the reasons that everyone wound up going to the Digital World to begin with even if they had been uncertain about it in the beginning. After all, there was nothing that they would be able to do that would stop the fact that Piemon was continuing his charge, and so, they had to be ready. Figuring out what was going on in the Digital World seemed like as good a reason for them to go off and investigate there as any, and so, they all filed into the office building and hopped into the gate that Hiraku set up for them.

The area that they stepped down into was a wide expanse of tall grasses that seemed to spread for miles. There were a few tall flowers that managed to dot the endless green, but for the most part, it was just grass as far as the eye could see. Koushiro was glad that all of them were as tall as they were; if the Digimon had been at younger levels by the time that they headed into the Digital World, they wouldn't have been able to easily navigate the grasses. The smallest Digimon of the bunch, Patamon and Tailmon, wound up hitching rides on their partners to make sure that they were still able to see. Gomamon wound up draping himself off the side of Jou's arms since he was just barely taller than the grass, and so, Jou had offered to carry him. The small seal Digimon seemed to be having the time of his life--at least, as far as walking through massive grasses could be enjoyable--as he looked out over the horizon.

Koushiro had ultimately done what he could so that the group could reach out and meet with Gennai. There had been a brief rocky period where they struggled to reach out to Gennai, yes, but Koushiro knew that they had a stronger chance of hearing answers from Gennai as opposed to most of the other Agents of Order. After all, Gennai had a personal connection to their team, and because of how much he had done for them in the past, Koushiro was sure that he would continue to go above and beyond to help them figure out everything that they had to know.

In a way, it was almost strange how easy it was for Koushiro to get a hold of Gennai compared to how the last attempt to reach out had gone. Koushiro was still somewhat on edge as a result of everything that had been revealed as a result of the Emissaries of Chaos bearing the same face as the Agents of Order, but Koushiro felt at least somewhat better because of the idea that the Emissaries of Chaos were not actually darkened versions of Gennai. They may have used similar data as a basis for their actions, but they were separate entities when push came to shove. Despite the heart-wrenching fear that had come with originally seeing Gennai's face belonging to one of their foes, it was not something that Koushiro had to concern himself with any longer.

Koushiro was glad that Gennai had been able to make contact with him quickly after how long he had been left waiting before, and he let out a small sigh as he looked up to the overhead sun. The light beaming down on all of them was bright, and Koushiro was glad that sunburn wasn't something that needed to be thought about in regards to the Digital World. It certainly would have taken quite a bit of sunscreen for everyone to be protected from the midday shine of the Digital World this time around, and all Koushiro could do was sigh to himself at it all. He didn't like the heat on a regular basis, and moving through tall grasses that slowed his movement in the hot weather was certainly something that he enjoyed even less.
