On the ground near DoneDevimon, Olegmon wound his arms up with his axes gripped tightly between his fingers. In the blink of an eye, he slashed outward with as much force as he could muster, and the large Digimon was left to scream in pain at the sudden outburst of agony that had manifested in his leg. With so much of his body paralyzed thanks to Meicrackmon, DoneDevimon had no ways of getting away easily, and Olegmon was more than taking advantage of it.

He was hardly the only one doing such a thing though. Up in the sky, Holydramon and Goddramon shared a brief glance before they stared to rear back for an attack that would no doubt send DoneDevimon reeling. Their foe was as good as trapped for the time being, and they were more than ready to take advantage of it. They unleashed twin blasts of energy that struck at DoneDevimon from both sides, and the damage done in the instant where the attacks made contact was so significant that the Chosen Children were left to smile in relief at the sight from their place beneath the hatch of Imperialdramon's body.

"It seems like Goddramon is already doing quite well for himself," Takeru commented as he glanced down to where Iori was standing at his side. His Jogress partner nodded his agreement as Takeru shifted his attention back to the fight at hand. "I didn't think it was possible for the fight against DoneDevimon to be even more one-sided than past encounters with NeoDevimon were, but I suppose there's a first time for everything."

"I don't think it's going to be as easy as we're hoping," Taichi cautioned, a frown on his face. "We don't know what's going to happen as far as DoneDevimon's benefactor is concerned, and for all we know, they could just be waiting for the right moment to strike and throw us off guard once we think we're making significant progress."

As much as Takeru hated to admit it, he knew Taichi had a point. This entire fight was a risk, but it was one they had no choice but to take. NeoDevimon had been enough of a threat as it was, and DoneDevimon only added an extra layer of difficulty and danger to those who just so happened to cross paths with him. The Digital World was in danger as long as he was allowed to roam freely, so the Chosen Children had only one option when it came to dealing with him. At the very least, they were making more progress than they had been in the past. Goddramon was proving to be a significant boon in that regard, and Takeru was glad he and Iori had finally been able to address their issues and push through to allow the Jogress evolution to be carried out. Takeru hadn't realized just how much he missed this until after he was given the chance to experience it again, and he was going to make sure the memory never faded from his mind.

Ceresmon was the next Digimon to attack, and she sent out two blasts of energy at DoneDevimon. One of them came from the palm of the medium form while the other was unleashed from the mouth of the stone bird, and the two strikes converged before making contact with DoneDevimon's body. He was starting to lean backward against Infinity Mountain, and Takeru was silently thankful the peak was strong enough to withstand such a sudden onslaught of weight. He supposed Infinity Mountain wouldn't have remained standing all this time if it didn't have some degree of strength though, but that didn't mean he wasn't going to stop him from praying it remained upright.

"We have to make sure he doesn't knock over the mountain while we're fighting him," Yamato said, and Takeru turned his head so he was watching his brother. Yamato was frowning deeply, and Takeru could already tell what he was thinking before his brother could even continue. "If Infinity Mountain collapses, then..."

"The damages will be staggering," Sora finished for him, her eyes narrowing as she continued to watch DoneDevimon from afar. "We can't let that happen. The Digimon here... They deserve better than to be put in a position like that."

Takeru nodded his agreement. He could only wish they were able to come up with a conclusive idea that would help them to ensure the mountain remained standing. DoneDevimon could start leaning on it more as they continued to deal damage, and if he tried to take off once again, his wings could cause massive rockslides that would only harm the surrounding area further. Given how many Digimon had already been forced to flee the area as a result of DoneDevimon's sudden evolution, the least the Chosen Children could do was make sure the remainder of the fight didn't too much to cause File Island's geography to change.
