terushima sat in class, waiting for the bell to ring so he can go to lunch. it was ap biology and he definitely did not want to be there. he watched as the rain fell from the sky and tapped his pencil on his notebook.
after the bell finally rung, he quickly gathered his stuff and went out the classroom door so he could catch up to daichi.
the two boys got to the cafeteria and terushima scans the place. the place was full of bratty rich kids that couldn't even go grocery shopping on their own.
"i fucking hate this place," terushima mumbles.
"you always say that,"
"it's true."
they sat down at their usual table. terushima didn't eat. he never feels hungry at lunch. sitting at the table a few yards from him and daichi was rin's table. he was with a few other football boys, laughing alongside them.
"what a fake smile," laughs terushima.
daichi looks over at him, "you're always staring at him, got a crush?"
"hell no. falling for a nanashima is probably worse than killing yourself."
"that's a little dramatic to say."
"it's true," terushima shrugs. "they both got problems to solve."
as fall comes to an end, winter is just around the corner. after school was done, terushima said goodbye to daichi — since his best friend had a date — and walked out of campus to go back to his house.
the air was chilly, much to terushima's liking. he always hated hot weather and was grateful that he lived somewhere that actually had seasons.
"i'm home," he calls out. terushima looks around to see if anyone was home and it was just nana.
that's kinda disappointing.
"a little rude that you didn't greet me back."
from the corner of terushima's eyes, he saw nana rolling her eyes. "welcome home." she deadpanned.
terushima hums at her, setting down his stuff and going over to the kitchen. he took off the shirt he was wearing since he was all sweaty from conditioning. terushima glance over at nana, seeing how she was practically in just a bra and pajama shorts.
"aren't you cold?"
she shook her head. "no, i'm fine. why? are you cold?"
"yeah, it's freezing in here." he walked over to nana and put the back of his hand on her cheek. "go wear something, you're gonna catch a cold."
nana slightly leaned in his touch. "you're warm."
"mhm i just got back from conditioning," he says, drinking his water. "did you not go to sixth period?"
"don't have one," she shrugs. "most of the time, i'm the only one here by 5 or 6 p.m because you guys have mostly practice or conditioning."
"true,"
nana got up from the couch and walked over to the kitchen. "want something to eat?"
terushima shrugs, "yeah, i'm kinda hungry."
she checked her phone. "hmm i'm kinda lazy and i'm pretty sure you in the kitchen is a nightmare, so want to go out and eat?"
terushima stopped drinking his soda. well, this was a first. he never would have thought that nana would be offering something like this.
"you sure?" terushima asks. "if the reporters—"
nana let out a groan. "who cares! they can say me and you are fucking for all i care, i just want to go try to new place that opened."
