"which one looks better on me?" nana asked kiyoko, showing two lip gloss color.

kiyoko stared at the two shades before pointing the one on the right. "that one,"

"can always count on you," and nana went back to the mirror.

kiyoko swung her feet back and forth. her makeup was already done, she was just waiting on nana. "big day for both you and rin."

nana shrugs, "i dunno, this party seems a little too extra, if you know what i mean."

"you're turning 18, that's a pretty big deal!" kiyoko laughs, "but i know deep down, you only like it because you like dressing up."

"you're so right."

to nana, getting dressed up in gorgeous ball gowns has always been a hobby. she grew up going to fancy ass parties and the only thing she ever liked about them was dressing up.

after getting her make up done, both girls decided to get up and put on their dresses. nana's dress was definitely way more fancier and detailed than kiyoko's, but that was for reasons.

as they stepped out the hallway, the two girls ran into rin and oikawa bickering.

"can you two go one day without being like this?"
kiyoko asked.

"he started it," oikawa huffs.

kiyoko annoyingly rolled her eyes. she walked up to oikawa and linked their arms. "ok prince charming, whatever you say. we have to get to the ball room or else both of our parents are going to give us an earful."

she waved bye to the twins and dragged oikawa down the hall.

"big day for us," rin says, fixing his sleeve.

they walked down the hall. you could hear the clacking of nana's heels and the chains of rin's outfit echoing.

nana sighs, "let's get this night over with."

rin laughs, "don't say that, it's going to be fun."

coming of age parties have been in the cassano family for generations. its believed that once a member turns 18, they are finally an adult that needs to learn about the world. to celebrate, the family will throw a grand party. it's usually in a castle-like venue. the outfits are also supposed to be heavily based off royal outfits.

it seems a little old fashioned but it's tradition.

"you know, despite this being an important day," nana says, "you didn't even bother doing your hair or take out your piercings."

rin ran his hand through his hair, "give me a break, my hair is slightly done."

nana told him to shush, as they were nearing the end of the hall. rin just let out a deep sigh and stood up straight. he gently held his sister's hand and lead her to the main room.

claps emerged from the crowd. the place was slightly dimmed. the chandeliers and candles gave off a soft glow to the venue.

their father was making a long speech. nana and rin sat there, already bored from the conversation. rin scans the crowd and saw some relatives that he made a mental note to avoid for the night.

a good 10 minutes past and finally there father was done with his speech. he said everyone was welcome to enjoy the food and to dance.

nana and rin immediately got out of their seats and went to their group.

iwaizumi held his hand out for nana, "looking extra pretty today." he compliments.

nana gave him a smile, "thank you."
