nana walked around the garden of the nanashima estate. most of the trees and ground was covered in a layer of white snow.
it was her last day at the house and after that, the rest of them are going back to school for the new semester.
she sat on the bench, watching kimchi play in the snow; taking pictures of her little paw prints.
"so you've been hiding here the entire time?"
nana laughs, turning around, "can't even escape the main house without you trying to find me all the time."
bokuto shrugs, sitting next to her. "ready for our last semester before we graduate?"
"kinda, i'm still trying to figure some things out."
"college or the company?"
she nods her head, "how did you know?"
"i heard rin mentioned it a few times about himself, so i assumed you had the same worries."
nana sighs, hot breath showing because of the cold winter air. she rubbed her hands together, trying to warm them up; unintentionally scooting closer to bokuto too.
"cold?" bokuto asks, taking her right hand and warming it up.
"just a bit,"
after ten minutes of sitting outside, nana called kimchi so they could return to the house. most of the boys already left the nanashima property to spend the last day with their families and packing bags.
nana went into her room, with both kimchi and bokuto following her. she found it amusing that bokuto has been stuck to her for the past two weeks.
"you sure you don't want to visit home?" she asked him. "give your mom and sister a visit."
bokuto shrugs, picking kimchi up. "my dad was spamming my phone the other day so i don't feel like going home."
"is he mad at you?"
"most likely, he probably saw me here and not at our place so he got mad."
"you're so petty,"
nana told bokuto he should start packing soon. he obeyed and went up to the room. he started to gather his clothes; folding them. bokuto sat on nana's bed, taking another look at her room. bokuto was always fascinated with looking at other people's rooms. a bedroom can tell you so much about a person.
he walked over to her table and stared at a picture that was framed.
it was a photo of her and rin when they were younger; maybe around 10? bokuto smiles as he puts the picture down. just from the photo, he can tell that the twins have not changed, even after all these years.
"bokuto, are you done yet?" nana asked, coming into her room.
he nods his head, "just about."
she grabbed a coat from her closet and motioned bokuto to grab his. "put on your coat, i'm taking you somewhere."
bokuto crooked an eyebrow at her. "and where exactly are we going?"
"you'll see."
he was about to protest but shut his mouth before anything could come out. if he had learned anything about living with nana, it is to never argue with her.
they both hopped into her car and drove off. nana didn't put anything in the gps, so bokuto still had no idea where they were going. they drove in silence for around 20 mintues, with only soft music playing in the back.
"so sweetheart, you wanna tell me where we're going?" asked bokuto.
nana kept her eyes on the road, "how many times did i tell you to stop calling me that?"
