rin woke up to five other boys surrounding him. he can't remember how he got to his living room, but it was most likely when he was trying to get some water and just wanted to sleep with them.
he slowly got up and tip toed to his bedroom. cold air hit his face. rin flopped onto his bed and stared at the ceiling. it had a bunch of glow in the dark stars stuck to it.
every time he comes home, he never wants to leave. the islands are nice and all, but his room at home makes rin feel safer than anything else.
hearing two knocks on his door, rin sighs. "come in," he mumbles.
"what? you sound disappointed."
rin rolls over so he's facing kuroo, "let me be, i just woke up and my back is hurting."
kuroo laughs, taking a seat next to rin and started to rub his back. "okay princess, i'll let you rest."
"don't call me that." he whines.
"you're such a baby, did you really just turn 18?"
rin got up and puffed up his cheeks at kuroo, trying to look intimidating. kuroo stared at rin for a good second before bursting out laughing.
"what are you trying to do? scare me?" kuroo pats rin's head. "sorry nanashima, but you're not scary enough."
"i am," rin argues, crossing his arms over his chest. "you just haven't seen me mad before."
kuroo mocks rin by raising both of his hands, acting like he's scared. "sure, maybe to a little kid since you're tall as hell."
rin gave up on trying to argue with kuroo. he plopped back down on his bed, coving his face with a pillow. kuroo took the pillow away from him and stared at rin's lips.
"if you want to kiss me, kuroo, you can."
kuroo smiles before placing his lips on rin's. he felt rin smiling through the kiss as rin wrapped his arms around kuroo's next; hands going through his hair.
after a few seconds, kuroo sat up. he told rin he was going to go eat something, leaving him alone in his room again.
once again, rin was staring up at his ceiling.
"what the hell was that."
he grabbed his phone to see if anyone had texted him. rin got a text from kenma, asking if he wanted to hangout in an hour.
rin responded back and got up from his bed; going to the bathroom to take a shower. although he took one last night, he feels like he can still feel all the grim from last night.
after taking a shower, rin got out and put on a simple outfit. he walked out and saw everyone still asleep while kuroo was on the couch.
"you going out?" kuroo asked, looking back at rin.
rin nods his head, "mhm, i'll be back in two hours," and he bent down to place a small kiss on kuroo's lips. "bye, kuroo."
the weather was cold and crisp. people were bustling down the streets of tokyo. during christmas and the new years, it seems like the city never sleeps.
it was chilly outside, making rin shiver. he was definitely underdressed.
kenma texted him the cafe he was at. luckily for the blonde, it wasn't too far from his place.
when he got to the coffee shop, a wall of warm air hit his face. rin rubbed his hands together and saw kenma sitting by the window.
"hey," rin took a seat in front of kenma. "didn't expect you to text me so early in the morning."
