SORRY FOR THE LONG DELAY IN BETTER CHAPTER 27 AND 28. I've skipped all of the pregnancy stuff because we have stuff we need to get done (and I spent ages thinking of a name for the baby.)
.......

You were lay in a hospital bed with Keir Starmer’s baby in your arms and Keir by your side. It wasn’t a stressful labour but it still took its toll on you. The baby was healthy and that’s all that mattered to both you and Sir Keir. Keir had kept you protected from the public and the press during the pregnancy, rarely taking you out and if he did it was away from Westminster. The press knew now however and you saw the look on Keir’s face as he looked at his phone for a second. “Do you mind if I put the news on?” Keir asked and you smiled and passed him the remote.

The headline you read mentioned two words in all honesty you didn’t want to see.

GENERAL ELECTION.

Of course you had full faith in Keir to win but you had just had his baby and you had some stuff to sort personally.

You looked to Keir “go find out what is going on " you told and Keir looked at you before he smiled. “I love you.” You said as he walked to the door. He turned back and walked to you both and kissed you head and then the baby’s.

“I love you too, both of you.” Keir smiled. He heard his phone ring and picked it up “Jon. My girlfriend has just given birth. It was going great and then I see that the PM is having talks about a general election.” Keir said and Jon tried to calm him down.

“Keir… Calm down. Second of all congratulations.” Jon said and Keir looked back at the room Keir saw the doctor talking to you before he focused his attention his phone call.

Meanwhile the doctor was almost certain you’d be able to go home tonight.

Where was home? That was a question that you needed to find an answer to. You hoped it would be at Keir’s even without the news of a general election possibly incoming but now it seemed to be an even better idea. You just wanted your man with you. As a family, you Keir and the baby.

Keir walked back into the room and he looked at you "is everything okay?" He ran his hand over his neck and you smiled at his nerves.

"We are fine. Are you?" You asked and Keir didn't say anything he just sat down next to you and squeezed your hand. "Keir what is it?"

"I want you to move in with me." He said and you smiled "as soon as possible... I want to spend as much time as I can with you before I have to go campaigning."

"Is it confirmed to be happening then?" You asked and Keir nodded.

"The PM will make the announcement later on today." Keir sighed and sat back in the chair.

"I'll move in with you Keir." You confirmed and Keir looked to you with a smile, still slumped in his chair. He didn't want the election coming now either. "We need to name the baby too." You said and Keir smiled.

"No Keir jr." He said and you laughed.

"What about Sebastian?" You suggested and Keir smiled.

"I was actually thinking that or Marco." He commented and you smiled. "Let's go with Sebastian."

You smiled and ran your hand over Keir's. "Middle name."  You said and Keir smiled. "I was thinking we go for Rodney after you and your dad?"

"Sure." Keir said he smiled "we could go Jack for your mum too. I know it's not the same thing but..." He stopped talking as you teared up.

"That sounds amazing." You smiled and he gave you a kiss. "Starmer for the last name?" You said and Keir smiled. "Sounds like we have a name then. Do you need to get back to see what's going on?" You asked and Keir smiled "it's okay if you do."

"There's nothing really I can do. I've put my reaction together for social media. I suppose we just have to wait till 5pm." Keir sighed.

A few hours later the doctor allowed you and Sir Keir to take Sebastian home. "If there's cameras you don't have to speak or even take photos." Keir said and you smiled and linked his arm.

"We have nothing to hide now, baby. Plus I don't think they can see Seb's face." You smiled and Keir kissed you. "Also they will want your comments on the election" you said and Keir sighed "I'll be here for you though, baby. I promise." You leant into him and smiled.

You left the press with your left hand interlocked with Keir's and your other holding  Seb. Keir took you and Sebastian back to he's where, when you thought about it more was where all the stuff you had for Seb was, he made you pizza. You watched the announcement with Keir and it was confirmed that there was going to be a general election coming.

You looked to Keir and smiled "are you okay?"

"I think so." Keir said and you leant into him.

"You always will be my prime minister Sir Keir." You kissed him and he smiled.
