You see that badass?
Underneath him lies a boy who seeks acceptance.
You see his toughness?
Which is hiding a well of sadness.
You see his smile?
It's gonna fade away in a while.
You see that hottie?
Who was labeled so by society.
You see his scars?
He tries to hide by going to bars.
You see his smirk?
When he only wants to shrink.
You see that beauty?
Who was claimed dangerous by society.
You see her smile?
Which isn't real and fragile.
You see her animated?
When she's really so depressed.
You see that mother?
Her courage to speak she's trying to gather.
You see that girl?
With the exception of her baby, has lost it all.
You see her laugh?
When of this life, she's had enough.
You don't see all the pain,
'Cause you live too much in your brain,
You don't know much about us,
People who are hard-working and restless.
You won't know us, not really,
'Cause you've deemed us silly already.
