{Ichure's Point of View}

I took a sip of the bitter root tea I had made, grimacing slightly at the taste.  Sure, I could have made the tea sweeter, but then I would just want to sleep.  I had been looking over the notes and books I had gotten, since Octavia's mother had gotten them from that friend of hers in India.  These priests had almost all the same questions that we did when it came to the type of possession that had happened with Guinevere.

While Octavia and I may have broken the half mate bond that we had had, I still cared deeply for her family.  We may not have been mates anymore, but we do share a son, and I refuse to deny him visits to see his sire, as long as she continues to be willing.  Seeing how good she is with the rest of her children just proves to me that she would never deny him anything if she could help it.

I sighed and rubbed the crease on my forehead.  Taking another sip of my bitter tea, I moved to write some notes down that I would be taking to Xia later so that she could review it, as well.  I had already spoken with her about a stronger sleeping spell for Guinevere.  The one we currently had her under would keep her asleep for roughly two weeks, unless, from my understanding, the Goddess inside of her figured out that she could use her powers to break the spell.

Gods would always be more powerful than witches.

I finished my cup of bitter tea and my eyes widened as I noticed something of interest in one of the few encounters that were recorded.

As it turned out, not only did Xia look like a dead thing brought back (an unfortunate side-effect of long years of necromancy, I'm told) but she also slept like one.  I groaned as I banged on her front door once more.  I had been to her home a few times before on business, but nothing ever of this caliber.  Or during the day.  I looked around after I heard a muffled curse and the thud of her falling off of her bed.

The outside of her home looked like a giant boulder that was covered in moss.  There were quite a few windows that would allow for natural light.  Her front door looked like it was made of heavy wood.  There were several small gardens that made up a huge garden in her front yard that butted up to her house.  A short distance from her home was a beautiful babbling brook.  Overall, the entire place looked like something out of a fantasy book, but then again, we were essentially straight out of a fantasy book.  My attention was brought back to Xia's home as another curse sounded from behind the door before it flung open.

"Someone better be dying, because if they're not, you will be."

I started laughing as Xia growled at me.
