{Octavia's Point of View}

I had been staring aimlessly out of the window in my office since I had gotten in that morning.  I should have left when I started not being able to focus on the work I needed to get done a few hours ago.  I couldn't help it; a lot had happened within the last few days and I honestly wasn't sure how to process any of it.

Janessa being pregnant.  Guinevere needing to be kept under a powerful sleeping spell.  Needing another ritual to save her.  The God inside her showing such aggression towards her own mate.

I groaned and leaned my head back against the head of my chair.  I stared at the ceiling for a few minutes before I closed my eyes, taking a few deep breaths.  The stress in my shoulders was just about gone when there was a knock on my office door.  I didn't normally close the door, but today I didn't want to be bothered.  When the knock sounded again, I sighed hard and looked at the door out of the corner of my eye.

"Come in."

Ichure popped her head in and smiled shyly.

"Apologies if you're busy, Octavia, but I consulted some... well, necromancers and we've come to a soft of agreement on what needs to be done about Guinevere."

I waved a hand for them all to come in.  Ichure introduce the necromancers as they came into the room.  I waved for them to sit in the chairs and small couch in my office.

"Greetings, all of you.  Sit, please.  I do have a question for Ichure when we finish, that maybe you all can answer."

I waited until they all got comfortable before I motioned for them to begin.  Ichure took a deep breath and then spoke.

"After much back and forth, we have come to the conclusion that to separate the souls of the God and Guinevere, we will need something personal from the both of them, and a hardy demon called a Huan."

I had never heard of such a demon.  Then again, I wasn't all that well versed on demons in general.  Regardless, I nodded.

"Alright.  What in the world is a Huan, and how will this ritual work?"

Ichure looked over to Grand-mère to give the details about the ritual.  The older necromancer nodded and leaned forward in her seat.

"The ritual itself isn't difficult.  The most difficult thing is going to be making sure that the young Huan binds to the soul of the God.  The plan is to take he soul of the young Huan and replace it with the soul of the God.  Soul bindings are difficult if a soul already resides inside the body, but an empty vessel will provide us with exactly what we need."

I nodded in understanding.  Replace the soul of one being with the soul of another.  Easy enough.  I rubbed my face and sighed.  This was just a lot of information in not a lot of time.  I waited for them to explain further.

"From what I know about Huans, they are the size of an Arctic fox.  They have one eyeball and three tails.  Eating their flesh or wearing their fur will cure you of jaundice.  They are known to be very well behaved if you raise them from a young age.  In the wild, they are known to get spooked easily and they will attack those that are nearest to them."

I nodded as she explained.

"The reason for the adolescent Huan is because the closer to pup-hood they are, the easier it is to unbind the soul from the body.  It is also much easier to train hem to what you desire when they're younger."
