{Keirstan's Point of View}

I sighed deeply as Scarlett and I pulled up to the first faction location.  Octavia had informed me a few hours ago that they were going to keep Guinevere under her sleeping spell, so I wouldn't be able to talk to her until they figured out what could be done about her partial possession.

I rubbed my face tiredly as Scarlett put the car we had borrowed from the Northern pack in park.  I looked up from checking my phone for the millionth time (even though I knew there wasn't going to be any notifications), and let out a low whistle.  The first location was in a beautiful forest location.  There were trees as far as the eye could see, and we were able to hear a babbling brook if we listened hard enough.

I turned to face Scarlett when she let out a deep growl.  She was staring ahead and her knuckles were turning white from how tightly she was gripping the steering wheel.

"Of course this faction had to be led by her."  Scarlett muttered angrily before she grabbed her things.  "This location is led by Gideon's sister, apparently.  She and I have never gotten along, and she will most likely try to kill me to avenge Gideon, even though I'm stronger than her by leagues."

Scarlett let out a puff of air in a sigh as I turned my attention back to the front of the building we sat in front of.  The building itself looked like a large farmhouse with three stories.  There was a wraparound porch with a roof, and a woman swinging gently on the porch swing.  She was wearing a warm yellow sundress that had a yellow bodice that was snug against her body and a white skirt portion with sunflowers floating around it.

Her attention was on us when we pulled up, and when Scarlett sighed heavily and opened the car door.  She stood at the top of the stairs, staring at us.

"Come along, Keirstan.  I might need you as back-up."

I sighed at being called like a dog, but I also knew that family issues could end up being a fight that ended in bloodshed.  I followed her out of the car, watching her and the other Siren woman on the porch.  As we got closer to the stairs, I noticed that she had a scar that ran the length of her right cheek.  That was interesting.  The supernatural blood in our veins healed us faster than humans, so that scar had to have been made by something blessed or harmful to our kind.

The woman at the top of the stairs snarled at us as we stepped close, her auburn hair floating around her as her power crackled around her.  Scarlett sighed, but held her hands up in a show of surrender.  It was obvious that she didn't want to fight on these lands.  I stood behind her, but off to her side to show that I was there, but also not a threat to their lands.

"Aurora, I wish I came bearing better news.  Gideon is dead.  The Ritual - "
