(Short chapter to introduce the idea behind my AU)

Your name is John Egbert and school is actually fun today! You have drama class with your friends. There's 14 of them! Aradia is really cool and is really into scary movies. Tavros is kind of a nervous guy and he's in wheelchair, but he can recite Shakespeare like nobody's business! Sollux is a little bipolar, but pretty cool all around. Nepeta is really obsessed with cats and makes puns all the time. Kanaya is everyone's cool, stylish, lesbian friend. Terezi 's blind and carries around this came with a dragon on the hand clutch. Karkat is sometimes really rude and cusses all the time, but in reality he's just a cuddler. Vriska is that one girl everyone calls "the bad bitch". Equius is the strongest student in the grade! He can pick up Karkat, Sollux and you at the same time! Then there's Gamzee, he's usually high...or is he drunk? Probably both. Then there's the two rich families. Eridan is a prissy little bitch who can't get enough of himself, but he's actually really...really...lonely. Feferi is the cheeriest person you'll meet, but also an extreme badass.

All your friends are really cool and they hand out with you all the time. You and Vriska kinda had a thing a while back, but died out.

Also, you guys all came up with these really cool relationship quadrants! There's moirails, which are platonic besties. A matesprit is like you boyfriend or girlfriend. Your kismesis is your enemy. Your friends say it can be angry sex, but you don't really think you'd ever do that. An auspistice is two people who don't get along very well, and a mediator to keep them at bay.

Your moirail is Karkat and you hang out all the time! He comes to your house and you watch a whole bunch of movies, mostly Nicolas Cage and cheesy rom-coms. You have a cute nickname for him: nubs mcshouty pants. He's only 4'11" so you poke fun at it sometimes. His response is usually something like: IM FIVE FEET OF PURE SHUT THE FUCK UP.

"Joooooooohn!!!!!" Vriska comes running up to you and tackles you. You laugh and push her off playfully.

"Hey Vriska!"

"Wanna ditch class and get some ice cream?" She asks.

"Uh, I really like this class and I don't think I should be skipping class." You sigh. "Maybe after school." She shrugs and stands up, swaggering away. Your teacher walks into the classroom. Her name is Ms. Crocker and she's your nana. She's really sweet. You stand up and walk over to her, giving her a hug. She ruffles your hair and proceeds with class.
