Ram
"I already got your tampons what else do you need?" I said through my iphone, ignoring the curious stares I'm getting from the ladies in the grocery store.
"Just my tampons." I heard Charlie replied. Her voice grave. She's been sulking all morning, since we found out she has her period. It must be the hormones. Mukhang ang sama din ng pakiramdam n'ya and said she's having cramps as well.
"I brought some pills, too. For the cramps." I said smiling. Disappointed din ako kanina, well sino ba namang hindi? Ilang araw akong hindi makakalevel up mula sa second base! Guess it's blue balls for now, Ram.
Pero ayos lang, ilang araw lang naman yan. Afterall nakapaghintay nga ko ng more than one week eh. Ano pa ba yung limang araw diba?
"Thanks, Ram." she answered.
Wala pa din sya sa mood. Malambing nga tong babaeng to mamaya. Tingnan natin kung magsulk pa s'ya.
"You sure you don't want anything else?" I asked tucking the phone between my ear and shoulder. "What do you wanna eat?"
"Just get your ass back here, Ram." that's all and she cut the line.
I grinned like an idiot. She misses me, she said that in not so many words, she's missing me! Kulang na lang mapasipol ako habang nilalagay ko sa cart ang mga pinamili kong chocolates, makabili nga din ng icecream. Siguro naman, this would cheer her up?
"Hi!"
Napalingon ako sa babaeng biglang lumapit sakin. She's pretty. Wearing a flowered corset, tight fitting jeans and killer heels. Sexy.
"Do I know you?" ipinilig ko ang ulo ko. I'm trying to remember this girl, not that she looked familiar pero kadalasan naman kase ng mga naging babae ko, hindi ko masyado matandaan ang mukha. Lalo na kung hindi magaling.
"Uhh no.. I just saw you last time sa race track?" she smiled sweetly at me. "I would have introduced myself by then pero you left agad eh."
I smiled at her politely. Hindi ko kasi talaga s'ya mamukhaan.
"By the way, Im Paris." she held her hand out na tinanggap ko naman.
"Aramis-"
"Sobrevega. Of course I know you!" she squeezed my hand. A flirty gesture.
"Right." tumawa na lang ako at binawi na ang kamay ko. "I gotta go, it was nice meeting you." I hurried to the grocery's fridge. Grab a couple of gallons of ice cream then went straight to the cashier.
I know, kung naiba lang siguro ang pagkakataon, baka kinuha ko ang number nya or right then and there, niyaya ko na s'yang lumabas.
Pero sa twing titingin ako ngayon sa ibang babae, si Charlie ang nasa isip ko. At mas gugustuhin ko pang maupo sa sofa, manuod ng walang kwentang sitcom sa tv at kumaen ng icecream. Basta siya ang kasama ko.
I am completely under her spell.

"Special delivery!" masayang bungad ko nang dumating ako sa apartment.
I saw Charlie sitting on the couch, facing me. I can see she's already munching on some popcorns. Lukot parin ang mukha n'ya.
Agad agad ko s'yang nilapitan, naupo ako sa couch sa harap n'ya, I lift up her legs, and settled it on my lap. "Does it still hurt?" hinawakan ko ang puson n'ya, pero agad n'yang tinabig iyon.
"Masakit na nga hahawakan pa?!" singhal n'ya.
Natawa naman ako. "Ang sungit naman ng baby ko." I massaged her legs. She didn't protest so I continued doing it.
