Ram
I hope this woman knows what she's getting herself into. Pero ako pa ba ang magrereklamo? Pabor na pabor sakin ang laban eh.
Instead na beer ang inumin namin, we decided on something hard. She took out bottles of some cheap alcohol from the fridge, habang ako naman nagtitimpla ng juice, chaser daw namin. Ang dami ding alam nitong babaeng to eh.
After a few minutes dinala na namin sa sala ang inumin namin at ang pulutan. Parehas kaming sumalampak sa sahig.
"So, shall I go first?" sabi ko.
"It's about time for you to act like a true gentleman." she half smiled. Sinalinan nya ang shotglass. Sya daw ang tanggera.
"Whoa! Hey there lady, gentleman talaga ko noh!" i gave her a disapproving look. Tapos ininom ko na yung unang shot.
Nagpatuloy kame sa ganun, salitan ng shot. Mukha nga kong tanga kase naisip ko na para ko narin syang nahalikan dahil we shared one shot glass. Kung saan man galing ang mga iniisip ko na ganun, malamang sa cheap na alak na iniinom namin ngayon. Para kong teenager. Tss.
"Tell me about yourself Ram."
I smirked at her. "I thought you're not interested with me?"
"You're right, I dont have the slightest interest with you. But it gives us something to do. Ayoko naman uminom ng hindi nagsasalita." nakairap nyang sabi.
"Blah blah!" sabi ko as I take my shot. "What do you wanna know about me?"
"Anything."
I shrugged as I watch her taking her shot. "Well, alam naman ng lahat, Im a racer. Passion ko talaga ang sasakyan since I was a kid, my parents know that kaya suportado nila ang hilig ko."
"Did you even graduate from college?"
Natawa 'ko. "You know what? You have this annoying talent of making people feel insulted, and belittled."
"Sorry." she chuckled. Napaka insincere.
"I took up Economics. I dont even know why I took that up, masabi lang siguro na degree holder." I took another shot of alcohol. In fairness, malakas din pala ang tama nito? "I have a sister, a younger one, her name's Galadriel. And she's a geologist."
"You seem to be fond of her?" nakangiting ininom ni Charlie yung shot nya then sinundan agad ng chaser.
"Yeah." i smiled as I leaned on the couch on my back. Close kame ng sister ko na si Adri, she's so full of life, she has this infectious smile, I never learned to resist. Kung inispoil ako ng parents namin, sya naman spoiled sakin. "Ikaw naman ang magkwento."
She laughed at me. "After mo magkwento about your perfect family? My family would look like a sick joke compared to yours."
Now, that got me all worked up.
We continued our drinking spree, hindi ko na sya inusisa about sa family nya. I figured that if she wants to talk about it, she would talk about it freely. She would just clam up if i continue interrogating her. Bakit ko alam to? Coz she's so much like my friends, Caleb and Scor. Those two are reserved people like Charlie.
Pare pareho sila, kusang magkukwento pag nasaniban na ng espirito ng alak.
At hindi nga ako nagkamali.
