I sat on the cool tiles with my back against the wall. Silence filled the room, or in my case, me. 5 minutes has passed of me waiting in suspense.
I stood up and took one last look at myslef in the mirror. I looked at the plastic test that may or may not change my life forever. I took one deep breath and let out a loud sigh.
I held the test in my hands, hoping this wouldn't change my life. I could never tell anyone about this, or about...
Knock! Knock! Knock!
The banging on the door caused me to drop the test into the toilet.
"Shailene, mom says hurry up. Dinner is done." I heard my 13 year old sister, Carly, yell from the other side of the door.
"O-okay. I'm almost done." I had taken back my old habit of stuttering when I'm nervous.
As I heard Carly's footsteps fade away, I retrieved the test from the toilet. I rinsed the toliet water off my hands and the test. I once again held the test in my hands.
Please don't let this ruin my life. Pleeease!
I had begged God for help even though I'm not that religious. I didn't want something like this ruin my life. I looked down at the test and saw the results.
