Jake's P.O.V
I was walking along the path when I saw her. Chloe was sitting next to Liam, books spread in front of them. I walked past as I saw her laugh at something he said. And that smile. The smile that she only used for me, she used for him.
My hands balled into fists as Sam called my name. I started walking over to him.
"Dude, what's up?" He asks smiling. I grunted with a shrug of the shoulders. All I could see was Chloe and Liam.
I could hear Sam talking but I wasn't listening. We just walked as the bell went. The end of the day.
I said goodbye to Sam and raced to my locker grabbing my bag and footy gear. I started walking down the corridor and out the doors. And then I ran. Past the endless stream of students.
I just kept seeing the two of them together. Kissing, laughing, holding each other.
My phone beeps so I pull it out. A text from Chloe comes through.
Chloe- Babe, do u wanna get some icecream after footy practice?? xx
I close my phone, not replying to the text.
I got to footy practice as the boys were running laps. I said sorry to the coach for being late and joined the others.
Then I saw her on the seats, her bag next to her. She waved and I waved back, when Liam saw her wave.
I glared at them and went to kick a goal
2 hours later----
I packed up my stuff and slung my bag over my shoulder. I then walked out the door of the changing rooms with Chloe on my heels.
"Jake, wait." She shouted. I kept walking making her run to catch up.
"What's wrong?" She asks.
"What's wrong? Wow. well let's see. You like Liam, he likes you and your gonna make a great couple, but may I remind you that you are my girlfriend. Not his." I yell back. She looks at me hurt.
" If you want to go out with Liam, then fine. Your free. Ok?" I say, a tear rolling down my cheek.
"I never even liked Liam. Were just lab partners. and anyway. He's a arse." She says quietly. I smile as she grabs my hands.
"I love you, and only you. I would never date him. So can we please stay together Jake." she whisper. I nodd and hug her.
