Raining Fire

Destiny's POV

I open my eyes to be in a dark room.
I didn't know where I was.
I look down and see that I'm still clutching onto my messenger bag. I would have looked in it but I was too busy trying to figure out where the heck I was.

I got up and looked around.
I could see nothing but darkness.
I stood up and strained my eyes to see something about 20 ft. in front of me. It was a huge hole.

I started walking towards it. I got about a foot to the edge, and when I looked down, the massive pit looked bottomless, except for the fog that was gathering far down towards the bottom. If there was one...

Still gripping onto my satchel, I slung it across my chest. I moved a little closer to the edge, trying to see something...anything.

I heard that same deep evil voice behind me and I jumped.

"Welcome to your new reality, sweetie."

I spun around and tried to to get away from him but he grabbed my arms and held a firm grip on them.
I couldn't get away.
He laughed at my weakness.

"Ever cliff dived before?" He grinned, his white eyes glowing brightly.
He laughed, and with one slight shove, I was tumbling over the side of the pit and free-falling through the air.

It felt like I couldn't breathe. I was falling so fast through the seemingly bottomless pit, that my body started to get hot. Really hot. Like, it felt like hot coals were stuck to my skin. Almost like when an asteroid is coming through the atmosphere and bursts into flames.

That's what it felt like.

And sure enough. Small tongues of blue flames started forming around me.
They didn't burn my clothes, they were just really hot.
They soon covered my whole body. I was completely consumed inside of this ball of fire.
I looked below me and, for the first time in a while of falling, I saw light.
A dark blue light. It was an opening. An exit. A way out. Freedom.
...Or maybe it was prison.
Maybe it's a prison he wants me to think is freedom and maybe it's freedom that he wants me to think is a prison.
I don't know.
Whatever it is, I'll stop falling.
I fell for a while longer, before I finally fell through the opening.
I looked where I had fell from. There was a portal just like a nether portal, but it was blue, not purple. There was a tornado type of funnel cloud around the portal. I was free falling in the ball of flames and I looked at what I had fallen into.
It was a huge place. It looked like it was outdoors. It might have been. Except for one small thing...

Everything was blocky and pixelated.
I looked down and sure enough, I was too.
It looked more natural than I thought it would. You always think that circles and squares are completely different, but when it comes down to it like this, there's not really that big of a difference.
I started to panic.

I think...I think I'm in...

But before I could finish my thought, there was a thud, a sharp pain, and my vision went black.
