Eyes, School, and Family

Chapter 2:

Destiny's POV

I woke up with a jolt. I was sweating and my heart was racing from the terrible nightmare. I've been having them a lot lately.

I looked over at my clock: 5:30. I reached over for my phone and typed in my password. I had gotten a text message from my best friend Denise. Denise is my only friend because everyone else makes fun of me and laughs at me.

It seems like you know more about my best friend then me- I guess I should tell you about my life. It's pretty boring though.

My name is Destiny Faith Luis, and my name is the only interesting thing about me. I'm 17 and live in Los Angeles. I go to CraterView High school. I have one little sister, she's 15. Her name is Roseanna, but everyone calls her Rose.

I have a laptop that I absolutely love. I play this really fun game called Minecraft on it. Denise plays it too. Her username is DJPlaysMc and mine is DFLPlaysMc. Rose also plays Minecraft, Her username is RoseLuvsMc. We all play together sometimes.

So, about the dreams. I've been having these creepy dreams about this thing that chases me in a never-ending black space and every time the ending is different, but I never seem to be able to get away from it. Whatever "It" is.

Probably the most interesting thing about me, other than my name, are my eyes. My eyes are blue,not just the kind of blue you're thinking of;but like neon blue, and they have almost an eerie glow. But, I can also change the color of my eyes to anything i want, like literally anything, even patterns. But I like to keep them neon blue because it looks almost normal.

My eyes do seem to change with my emotions though. I always knew that I was different, but other than my eyes I didn't know how else I was different. I just felt...different.

I get called a freak at school, so I put colored contacts in so that no one would see my real eyes. Now with contacts my eyes are just regular blue. Everyone forgot or doesn't know about my eyes except for Rose, my mom, my dad, and Denise. I can also do some other things, but I'll tell you about it later.

-idk maybe cause ITS THE LAST MONDAY OF SCHOOL!

~idk well its almost 6:30 and i have to get ready for school. ill cya there :*

Ok time to get ready for school.

I put down my phone, crawled out of bed, and ran to my closet. I got my outfit, ran to the bathroom, changed, did my hair, put my earrings in, and brushed my teeth. I ran out of the bathroom but I stopped myself. Dangit forgot to put in my contacts. So I ran back in the bathroom and put my contacts in. I ran to Rose's room and silently went in. Me and Rose are completely different, well sleeping wise. Rose could sleep till 6 PM if she could when I'm waking up at 4 AM every morning with no alarm. Rose is a late sleeper so someone has to wake her up. I can tell you I have alot of fun doing it. I crept over to the side of her bed and stood beside her. I stood in a weird pose and lightly tapped her on her shoulder. She didn't even move. Really. I tapped her on the shoulder again, still nothing.Oh my gosh how do you wake this girl up. So much for plan A. I grabbed her shoulders and started to shake her. She grunted and tried to swat my hand away. Movement! Hallelujah! I grabbed her arm and literally dragged her out of the bed.

"Stop it!" She wailed.

"Never!" I yelled back. "Time to go learn random stuff that you are probably never gonna use again in life!" She started laughing.

I started to walk backwards, dragging her across the floor but I tripped over her blanket and I fell down beside her. Oh yeah, did I mention that I am probably the most clumsiest person in the world? Probably not. Did you know that it takes a lot of talent to trip over nothing? Well it does.

Rose and were laying on the ground laughing.

"OK, well I gotta go eat breakfast, I'm hungry." I said and got up and walked out of the room and into the kitchen. as soon as i entered, I smelled bacon and eggs.

"Hmmm, I'm hungry." I sighed.

"Well there's food here, come over and get it." My mom said form behind the counter

"Good morning Des," My dad greeted me as he walked into the kitchen. That's what my dad has called me ever since I was born. Actually everyone at my house usually calls me that.

"Morning dad," I said.
