The three boys walked down the street of the lazy town. The sun was high in the sky now, and they really wished they'd brought any money at all. For now they were hungry, tired, and penniless.

"I'm hungry!" Tommy whined.

"Well maybe if you had any common sense you'd have brought some money!" Tubbo huffed.

Ranboo sighed heavily. The two had been bickering for half the day. He knew they weren't accustomed to not having food, but Ranboo couldn't help but feel a little annoyed. There were times when Ranboo had gone days without food. A few hours shouldn't be this bad.

Tommy groaned as he passed a bush of golden flowers. He plucked one of the roses, carefully avoiding the thorns. A smile grew on hai face.

"What the hell are you doing?" Tubbo asked as Tommy started picking handfuls of yellow roses.

Tommy turned to the boy with a smile, "we're going to sell these roses!"

"Sell the flowers?" Ranboo asked, "you know I could have just made some, right? You didn't have to pick these ones?"

The other two looked at him. Tommy dropped the roses in his arms.

A few minutes later, the boys were selling fake flowers. Ranboo had created illusions of alliums that would last a day before disappearing. They had already gotten a few pounds in the short time they were selling. Soon, they started making their way to the store.

"Wait-" Tommy stopped a few blocked away from the store, "you can't bring a fuckin scythe into the store."

"Oh." Ranboo looked at the weapon.

The scythe glowed briefly, shrinking into a small clip. Ranboo smiled to himself, clipping the scythe to his shirt.

"There. Now it's just an accessory." Ranboo crossed his arms.

Tommy gasped, "that's fucking awesome!"

Tubbo hummed. He grabbed the clip, taking it off Ranboo's shirt and reaching up towards his head.

"What are you doing?" Ranboo asked, dodging the shorter.

"Just trust me. It'll look cool." Tubbo smiled.

Ranboo nodded, letting Tubbo clip the scythe to his earlobe. Tubbo dropped back, smiling widely.

"There." Tubbo nodded shortly.

Tommy snorted, "you made him look even edgier."

"Shut up." Tubbo laughed, "let's just go to the store."

Ranboo reached up to gently touch the scythe. He smiled lightly behind his mask. The boy followed his friends down the sidewalk.

"Okay, we only get necessities, understand?" Ranboo asked as they made their way though the store.

"Yeah yeah." Tommy looked at a list they made, "Why don't we split up and get half the list each?"

Tubbo nodded, taking half the list, "I'll go with Ranboo so he doesn't get lost."

"Alright. Meet at the entrance in fifteen minutes?" Tommy glanced down at when he was getting.

"You got it boss man." Tubbo smiled, dragging Ranboo into the first isle.

Ranboo hummed as he looked at the list. Mostly canned goods and ready to eat meals. He supposed Tommy was getting the snack stuff and water. Tubbo gasped suddenly, pulling Ranboo's attention from the piece of paper.

"What's up, Tubbo?" Ranboo asked, walking over to the shorter boy.

"This!" Tubbo grinned, showing Ranboo a can of beans and sausages, "this is my absolute favorite! Can we get it please?"

Ranboo sighed, "Tubbo, that's kinda expensive."

"Oh come on, please?" Tubbo begged, "just this once? Pretty please Ranboo? Please?"

Ranboo rolled his eyes with a sigh, "fine. One can."

"Yes! Thanks boss man!" Tubbo smiled, placing it in the basket Ranboo held.

"You're welcome." Ranboo sighed, "now only necessities from here on out, okay?"

"You got it." Tubbo grinned, already heading off to the next isle.

By the time they met up with Tommy again, Tubbo had convinced him to not only get ice cream, but also a zombie piglin plush. What Ranboo wouldn't admit though, was he quite liked the plush as well. Tommy wasn't much better though, having gotten several biscuits and a case of coke.

"I hate both of you..." Ranboo sighed, "did you get anything that was actually on the list?"

Tommy shrugged, "I got the protein bars and trail mix."

Ranboo let out a strangled noise as he held his face in his hands, "we're gonna die!"

Somehow they had just enough money to buy everything, save for one pack of cookies. The boys walked out of the store with bags of food. It was past noon now as they walked down to the beach where the first rift was.

"So," Tubbo took a bite of the ice cream, "where are we going?"

Ranboo paused, "I... Don't know? We have to find a way to track the weapons."

"You came here without a way to find them?" Tommy scoffed, "great planning."

"It was easier when I dropped right in top of the weapons." Ranboo glared at the blonde boy, "I know a tracking spell, but it takes materials that I don't have!"

"What materials?" Tubbo asked.

Ranboo shrugged, "a metal container, redstone, and something related to the thing or person I'm tracking."

"Well... We can help with one of those?" Tubbo laughed lightly.

Ranboo sighed. This was going to be a long adventure...
