Ranboo stared at the things in front of him. An empty tuna can, a small magnet, and a small goat horn. This was most definitely not going to work. But, it was all he had at the moment, so it was worth a try.

"So what first?" Tubbo asked, watching the taller boys every movement.

Ranboo grabbed the goat horn and a rock, "first we have to break this into pieces. Ideally I would grind it to a powder, but we'll work with what we have."

Tommy leaned over the two, "where did you even get that, Tubbo?"

The shorter boy shrugged with a smile, "I have my ways."

"That is vaguely terrifying, alright." Ranboo took a moment before turning back to his work.

The tall boy smashed the horn with the rock, grinding it as small as he could. Next he gathered up the pieces and put them in the tin. He placed the magnet on top.

"Is it done?" Tubbo asked, shuffling closer.

"No." Ranboo picked up the tin, "I have to actually cast the spell."

It was silent for a moment as Ranboo concentrated. A minute passed and nothing happened.

"Is it working, or..?" Tommy leaned against a tree.

"Just give me a minute!" Ranboo huffed, "I've... never actually don't the spell before..."

"Fantastic!" Tommy threw his arms in the air.

"Well at least I'm trying something!" Ranboo snapped.

"Guys!" Tubbo shouted, "can we get this done!? The fate of two world is kind of in the balance here!"

Ranboo sighed, turning back to the tin, "sorry..."

"Sorry Tubbo..." Tommy looked away.

Ranboo closed his eyes, envisioning the magical weapon they were searching for. Schlatts sword. A golden guard. Green leather handle. Ram horns on the pommel.

The boy heard Tubbo gasp. Ranboo opened his eyes to see the tin glowing purple. The pieces of the goat horn started floating in the air like little purple specks.

"Woah..." Tommy breathed, "it's beautiful..."

The particles started floating off in one direction. The magnet swiveled slightly before stilling in the direction the particles were floating.

"That way." Ranboo stood quickly, "that's where the sword is."

"This so so fucking cool!" Tubbo smiled, jumping up.

Ranboo smiled softly, "I'm surprised you two can see it. Phil told me people from other worlds can't see our magic."

"Maybe it's cause we touched those magic weapon things." Tommy said, running after a few slow particles.

Ranboo laughed, "probably. You're attached to the magic now, I guess."

"I'm magic!" Tubbo gasped, "Ranboo! Ranboo! Do you think you can teach me some spells and other cool shit!? Like the flowers!"

"Maybe." Ranboo gave him a soft smile, "We'll try later, right now we have to find the sword."

"I'm way ahead of you!" Tommy laughed, already following the particles away from them.

Ranboo jumped, running after the blonde boy, "Tommy! Wait for us! It's dangerous!"

"Calm down Big R." Tommy smirked, "can I call you Big R?"

Ranboo sighed heavily, "Tommy, if the Smilers or Masks attack, you could be in serious danger! You don't know how to defend yourself against them!"

"It's fine!" Tommy smiled, "right Tubbo?"

"Yeah!" The shorter boy agreed, "we got you to protect us."

"But if you run off and I'm not there..." Ranboo let his voice trail off.

Tommy rolled his eyes, "why would they attack us when you're not around?"

Ranboo turned away, "they'll attack anything. They don't care if you're innocent or not. They attack without mercy and kill everything in their path."

The boys went silent as they walked. It was always a cruel reminder to think of the taller boys world. And how that could soon become Tommy and Tubbo's world.

Ranboo heard something in the bushes. He stopped his friends without a word, motioning for them to be quiet. Ranboo took the scythe from his ear, letting it grow to full size in a faint glow if purple. All three waited with baited breath.

A bunny hopped out.

The boys took a collective sigh of relief. Tubbo laughed, kneeling down by the little creature.

"You're not scary, little guy." Tubbo smiled, reaching out with one finger.

The bunny sniffed at him, pushing it's nose into Tubbos hand.

"That's an oddly friendly bunny." Tommy said, "I thought they were all skiddish and shit."

Tubbo shrugged, "maybe it's just lost."

Ranboo looked closely at the furry creature. It seemed... Off. That's when he saw the faint green shimmer in it's eyes.

"Get away from it!" Ranboo yelled, pulling Tubbo away just in time.

The bunny lunged at the boys. The fur fell off midair, leaving green skin and long, gnashing teeth behind. Two long, green legs hit the dirt and started running at Tommy. Ranboo jumped forward, a purple flash emanating from the scythe.

Ranboo caught the Smiler with the scythe, flinging it away from his friends. His tail flicked to keep his balance as he landed. He held the scythe out as a barrier between the Smiler and his friends.

The Smiler got up, shaking itself out briefly. It threw it's body back and let out a shrill cry. Moments later, more Smilers appeared.

Ranboo's tail twitched. There was out about ten of them. If he was quick he could take them all out before any Masks came.

"Ranboo!"

The enderman-hybrid turned to see Tubbo being dragged away by a Mask. His eyes widened and his ears dropped. It was too late. They were surrounded.

"Tubbo!" Tommy screamed, reaching out to try and grab his friend.

Ranboo pulled him back, "Tommy no!"

"We have to help him!" Tommy yelled, struggling to get out of the tall boys hold, "you said they'd kill him!"

"No, Tommy, listen." Ranboo said as the Smilers ran past them, following the Mask and Tubbo, "if they were going to kill him, they would have done it already."

"Wha-what do you mean?" Tommy turned to him with tears in his eyes.

"They're taking him somewhere as a prisoner." Ranboo said.
