I heard there was a special place...

Three tense weeks passed. Three weeks since the boys came back to camp with Technoblade, and ex-ruler and his guard.

It had been three weeks since XD's property had been stolen.

The god growled lightly to himself. The eye was crushed in his hand, cutting off the visual of the camp. How dare those children steal his George. How dare Dream defy the God who gave him his name! XD could feel his plans slipping through his fingers.

He heard a chuckle in his ear.

"I told you. You cannot stop the prophecy."

XD pushed himself off his throne. He stalked over to the map carefully laid out on a table. Kinoko was no longer under his control. The goat brat had broken his magic seal. Now with George and Dream, two very powerful magicians, on the opposing side, the chances of getting it back we're slim.

"You're going to die, XD"

The God huffed, ignoring the voice. If only he could get another sorcerer under his control, but Dream was the last one he had. He closed his eyes. Who else was there?

Voices filled his head. Terrified whispers about his tyranny. He swam through the noise, searching. Searching for an arrogant, gullible, magician looking for more power.

"You're not going to find anyone. You're out of cards to play."

XD grit his teeth. How was she still so clear with so many other voices? Why won't she just shut up!? He needed to concentrate. He needed to-

"XD-"

"SHUT UP!"

XD whirled around, facing his empty throne room.

Tommy sighed softly as he watched Shroud and Michael run around. Ranboo and Tubbo had gone off to the greenhouses for the day, leaving Tommy to babysit. Not that he minded. It was nice to just relax for once.

It had been almost four months since they met Ranboo. Almost three since they came to the Daessempii. It felt like so much longer, but also like he blinked and all the time had passed. It was a whirlwind.

Shroud hopped over to Tommy, Michael close by him. Tommy smiled at the two children. They were so cute.

"What's up bud?" Tommy asked.

"Puppy!" Michael said, tugging oh Tommy's sleeve.

Tommy laughed, "okay."

The boy waved his hand, a golden puppy appearing in front of him. The illusion of the dog barked as it ran around the children. Shroud and Michael shrieked in laughter, running around with the puppy.

Tubbo flopped down next to Tommy. Ranboo sat next to them, much more gently than the shorter boy.

Tubbo smiled, letting out a long sigh, "that was nice."

"Yeah?" Tommy snorted, "How'd it go?"

"Techno nearly killed Tubbo for touching his potatoes." Ranboo laughed lightly.

"But he didn't." Tubbo smirked.

Ranboo rolled his eyes, "cause you dove under Phil's wings."

Tommy barked out a laugh as Tubbo sputtered in protest.

"I did not!" Tubbo yelled.

"Mhm. Sure." Ranboo smiled, "so Tommy, I see you've been practicing your illusions."

The blonde nodded, "yeah, the kids love them."

"I can tell." Ranboo watched as Michael let the puppy chase him, "usually he runs up the moment he sees me."

Tommy hummed. He wished every day could be like this. Maybe later he would try horseback riding like Techno suggested. Then they could have dinner and feast on fresh vegetables and wild turkey.

A wave of fear washed over Tommy. He tensed, sitting up and pulling his wings tight to his back.

"Tommy? Are you alright?" Tubbo asked, concerned for his friends sudden change in behavior.

"Something's wrong." Tommy said as he stood.

The earth rumbled under their feet. The puppy illusion disappeared. Michael and Shroud stopped their play, inching towards their caretakers. Ranboo and Tubbo stood quickly as a man calmly walked into the room.

The man had a smile on his face, the only feature visible under his white mask. He looked eeriely similar to Dream. Only this man was dressed in white robes. He seemed to be glowing, casting a pale green light around the room.

"Hello." The man tilted his head, "it's nice to finally meet you."

"Who-who are you?" Ranboo asked, standing in front of his friends and the children.

The man laughed. He reached up to his mask, pushing it to the side to show a glowing, bright green eye.

"I'm a God!"
