Clary's pov

"Clary. Clary wake up." I heard Isabelle's voice.

I woke up with a smile on my face. Why? Because Jace had kissed me last night. I stretched my arms and sat up.

"Where did you go last night?" Isabelle asked me.

"Um I was with Jace." I blushed.

"Dear god, what were you two doing?" She asked

"He kissed me." I said with a shy smile.

"Wait so are you guys a thing?" she asked.

My smile disappeared. "No. I need to make up my mind Izzy, but I can't decide."

"You'll figure it out soon. C'mon it's our last day here, lets go enjoy it." Isabelle said and we went and got ready for our day.

As soon I walked outside, I could feel Jace's eyes on me. He was sitting with Sebastian on the dock.

"Izzy! Clary!" Sebastian called and we both walked over.

I took a seat beside Isabelle, and put my feet in the water.

"I'm gonna miss this place." I said sadly.

" Me too. You can come back with us next year though." Sebastian said with a grin.

After that we all went swimming and I hadn't talked to Jace all day. I could feel him staring at me but whenever I looked at him he looked away. I needed to make a decision soon.

I laid in bed that night staring at the ceiling, wide awake. Isabelle was snoring softly, but I couldn't fall asleep. I decided to take a walk outside. I stepped outside into the cool air and took a deep breath.

Then I saw someone standing on the shoreline, skipping rocks into the lake. I walked a bit closer, and saw that the person was Sebastian. I walked up to him.

"Can't sleep?" I asked.

He didn't even look startled by my sudden appearance.

"Yup." He said as he looked at him. He then skipped another rock into the water.

Then he stopped. "Let's go for a walk, I want to show you something."

He took my hand and we walked into the forest. It wasn't scary out here at this time of night, it was just peaceful and quiet. Sebastian lead me to a part of the forest that had lesser tree's we then stopped in front of one. I noticed that there was something carved into the tree trunk.

Sebastian Morgenstern

And

Marissa Morgensterns special spot.

"We did that when I was seven and she was six." Sebastian said from behind me. "We used to sneak off here when no one was paying attention."

I didn't know what to say. I felt so sorry for him.

"I'm so sorry Sebastian." I whispered while going to hug him.

He hugged me back. "It's okay, it hurts less now."

"Do you miss her a lot?" I asked

"I miss her everyday." Sebastian replied sadly

We were both silent for a second. I couldn't even imagine my sibling being taken a way like that, if I had one.

"We should probably go back." He said.

He took my hand, and we walked back to the cabin in silence.
