The Eye of the Storm

Clary's pov

"What?" I breathed.

"He's awake?" Sebastian said shocked.

"Yes." Mayrse smiled.

"Oh my goodness." Isabelle said. "Let's go see him."

We all got into Mayrse's car and drive to the hospital. I felt relief go through me like fire. He was okay. Jace was okay. Sebastian, Isabelle, Alec, and I basically ran to Jace's room. Sebastian opened the door and well walked in.

Jace was sitting up in the bed, with a smile on his face.

"Oh Jace!" Isabelle exclaimed as she ran over and hugged him.

Alec went up and hugged him, and Sebastian walked over and hugged him as well. Then it was my turn. I walked up to him and hugged him while crying.

"I heard you talking to me everyday." He whispered in my ear and a tear rolled down my cheek.

I pulled away and went and stood beside Isabelle.

"How did the car accident happen?" Sebastian asked.

"I was driving my car and it was raining really. Anyways I was driving and it slipped I guess and the car flipped." Jace explained.

"How long was I in a coma for?" He asked wearily.

"Two weeks." I murmured.

" I heard all of you, but I couldn't open my eyes. " He explained.

"Well we're just happen that your okay." Isabelle said while smiling.

Jace just grinned.

Later that day I went back to the hospital, to see Jace. I hadn't really gotten the chance to talk to him properly earlier when all of us came.

I got out of my car and walked into the hospital and walked to Jace's room. I walked in and he was sitting in his bed reading a book.

"I didn't know, you read." I said surprised.

He looked up at me with a smirk. "There's a lot of things you don't know about me Red."

I rolled my eyes playfully at his nickname for me. I went and sat down beside his bed, and was silent for a moment.

"Has anyone come and visited you after we all left?" I asked him.

"My parents were basically here all day but I told them to go home and get some rest, and Sebastian just left about ten minutes ago." Jace said.

"He wouldn't even speak during the two weeks you were in a coma for." I said sadly. "You mean a lot to him, you know."

"I know, and he means a lot to me too." He said with a slight smile.

"You mean a lot to me too, Clary." Jace said with his golden eyes gazing into mine.

Suddenly I felt myself leaning forward, and he was too. Our lips met and he pulled me closer. Suddenly I heard the door open.

"Hey Jace I..." Sebastian said while trailing off.

Jace and I sprang apart, and I looked at Sebastian. He was standing in the doorway, looking disappointed.

He cleared his throat. "Um sorry." He said and he walked out of the room.
