No one's POV
Perci decided to continue her investigation of Donovan somewhere else. For the time being they decided to be civil till he explained why he was in Hogwarts. They both called a truce, something Snape felt relieved about. He had just about enough of the pranks going back and forth and also worried he might get caught in crossfire. He had to worry about his reputation, not that he would ever say it out loud.
On the other hand, Hogsmeade trip was also around the corner. Harry and gang were preparing for extra defense lessons discussion, whereas Perci was talking to all available sources to find about Donovan and his intentions indirectly. She felt that maybe she is being paranoid and that maybe he can be of help.
She was focusing on her classes but could not focus on Harry or Sirius or what was going on with them. When she did remember, she felt guilty for not asking how they were. Frankly she was busy trying to make sure no problems of her of the states came to bite her in the ass.
After the last class with seventh years, she was making her way towards her room when Harry approached her.
"Hey Harry , how are you ?"
"I'm fine. I was wondering if you had time to talk."
"Ofcourse, walk with me."
" So I um I wanted to ask your opinion on something. Something Ron and Hermione said stuck with me, I guess. They were thinking about doing extra defense "
"And you wanted my help in this ?"
"No. I mean yes. I mean a few things here and there but other than that nothing. I will help them but if you can just you know help me with learning some new spells. You don't have to but if you could.."
"Hmm I'll see but I can't promise anything because I've got my hands full, you see that."
"Ofcourse I don't want to burden you."
"Not at all. All I'm saying is it's going to be a little hectic and I may not be available all the time. Anyways isn't it lunch time? C'mon off you go and have lunch properly. See you in the great hall."
"Sure. See you there."
Harry walked with a smile on his face. Perci felt happy to be a part of his life. Even if he didn't know how much it meant to be having the conversation without feeling like she had abandoned him.
Soon the hogsmeade weekend came. Students were ready to go out in the village and enjoy the weekend. Perci had plans to go home but it would be empty and she wanted to see how the village was compared to what she had seen in New York .
She entered The three broomsticks and it was packed. She wanted some quiet so instead she went to the Hogs Head which was quieter compared to the three broomsticks.
Turns out even this was going to be packed because students who wanted to learn defence were having a planning committee. This brought a smile on her face. The Ministry had introduced some new rules one of which was not allowing some groups like this to exist.
Umbridge might be gone but the idiot minister was not letting down on controlling the school.
Perci quietly entered and chose a quiet corner away from the students who were going in. She chuckled when she heard how the students were debating as to why Harry should be the one teaching them.
It was intriguing to watch from a distance. She was also happy that something like this is happening . She remembered her own days from school and camp. The planning for school or camp activities was fun. She was lost in her thoughts that she didn't see the dog come up to her leg .
