Sweet Pea P.O.V

"You think you're better off without me?" He yelled in her face

"Yes Jason as a matter of fact I  do" she yelled back

"Then go but just know you'll come crawling right back"

Jason Blossom... the schools well known prick well, well known to everyone besides his oblivious sister Cheryl but that's a story for another day. I watched from afar as my best friend ran off crying before deciding to follow her

I rounded the corner in enough time to see her run into an unused classroom I knocked lightly on the door

"Go away Jason you don't get to apologize this time" She cried

"Baby girl it's not Jason" I said jiggling the doorknob "please open the door sweetheart"

She slowly pulled the door open pulling me inside before shutting and locking the door again

"Oh sweet pea.. you weren't supposed to see any of that" she sniffled as I pulled her into my arms

"What are you two fighting about now?" I asked trying to keep my cool and not beat the brakes off that ginger dumbass

"He's mad because he found out I've been spending more time with you lately.. and I told him your just a friend an-and h-he doesn't believe m-me" she stuttered sobbing into my shoulder "he th-thinks I'm cheating on h-him"

"sweetheart breathe" I said rubbing her back lightly

"I just love him so much Sweet Pea I don't want to lose him" I've had enough of this toxic relationship she's in and I'm tired of seeing her get hurt

"You know what Y/N I'm done" I said backing away from her "I'm done seeing you get hurt and just go run straight back to that asshole every time"

"Sweet Pea, I'm not arguing with you too just go"

"No"

"Just leave Sweet Pea why won't you just leave?"

"Because Y/N I LOVE YOU" I yelled "don't you get it? I love you so fucking much that it consumes me, you're all I can seem think about and when you're around I can't focus on anything but you... and dammit Y/N I know I can treat you better than the pretentious prick ever could"she finally turned to look at me

"Don't talk about him like that" she yelled back at me

"Like what? All I'm doing is speaking the truth Y/N"

Truthfully this is the worst argument We've ever had but I'm absolutely sick of Jason Blossom dragging my best friend, the girl I love most down and if this argument is what it takes for her to see that then so be it

"You don't know him like I do Sweet Pea"

"I know enough to know he treats you like shit Y/N, before you started dating him you were happy go lucky, you were a vixen, you played volleyball you did so many things that made you happy" I sighed "but once you started dating Jason everything changed, your smile faded, you quit the river vixens and the volleyball team, worst of all you left me in the dust" I probably sounded selfish but I didn't care "so tell me why? Why did you give up everything you love for some guy?"

"Truth be told Pea, it all started about 6 months after we started dating... everything was so good until it wasn't he became very controlling over me any time I did anything he assumed I was sleeping around so he gave me the ultimatum of either quit the vixens and volleyball or lose him and I was so blinded by love that I did whatever it was to make him happy, and when it came to you he didn't want his girlfriend to be associated with 'serpent scum' as he called you and no matter how many times I insisted you were my best friend and I didn't want to lose you he just kept giving me that same ultimatum of either stop being friends with you or lose him" the tears started rolling down her face again "and last night he told me he knew we'd been hanging out in secret and I denied it like my life depended on it and that was when-" she hesitated
