Chapter 30

We finally found the rest of our friends in the same ally that we have been sleeping in.

"We have been banished, we have to leave town or else we will all be killed" Said Lucifer with a yawn.

Violet's POV

The fog was so thick dis morning that nothing could be seen through it.

Zero held my hand as tight as he could and it honestly felt good. I didn't want to express my comfort tho. My heart was too heavy.

We walked into the market and bought as much food as we could afford and than quickly made our way back out onto the streets.

The whole time Zero hid his face and his hair honestly helped him not be recognized.

The towns people didn't really care about me or the others, Hell, they didn't even seem to see Clay or Edan. It was as if they weren't even there to begin with. that. But if they could get their hands on Zero it would most likely be a giant reward so he was careful not to give away who he was.

As we walked quietly through the streets a small girl ran through the fog at top speed. She was screaming and looking behind her as if somebody or something was chasing her.

She ran right into Cain and fell backwards on the ground in front of her.

With that Lucifer ran to the small girl and held her in his arms tight as if he knew the girl from somewhere.

She had long blonde hair that was dreaded just like Lucifer and her skin was as pale as a piece of paper as her lips were a natural shade of dark red.

She glanced up at Lucifer and tears ran down her face as she buried her face in his chest with great comfort.

"Oh Mara, I thought id never see you again, how did you escape the vampires?" He asked the small girl as he wiped her tears from her face.

"I saw you from a distance and took it as my chance to break away from his hold, but hes close Lucifer" She said with broken sobs as he took her in his arms.

She still had a collar around her neck when we made it deep into the forest. Lucifer set her down on a rock and sat in front of her to inspect her for wounds. He ran his hands up and down her body and once his eyes became focused on the collar around her neck, he tried to remove it but couldn't.

Zero walked over to Lucifer and gazed down at the exhausted girl. He placed his hands on the collar and tried to remove it as well but he also couldn't

"There's a lock on this collar Lucifer, the vampire she escaped from most likely has the key" Said Zero as he sat down criss cross on the ground next to Lucifer.

The small girl covered her face with her hands and began to sob violently.

Lucifer pulled her hands away from her face gently and wrapped her in his arms as she buried her face within the crook of his neck.

"Don't cry Hun, ill get this taken care of, I promise" He said as he wiped her tears the same way he did when she first ran into us.

"No more tears, OK?" he said as she only looked at him trembling and sniffling her nose.

"See, its OK, even if you had to wear that collar your whole life, I would still protect and love you even after death" He said with a smile as he combed her hair with his fingers.

She looked down at the collar and than up at the man who wiped her tears.

"I'm so sorry Lucifer, his name is on the front of my collar, its to tell everybody who I belong to, if any vampire sees his name on this collar they will do anything and I mean anything to take me back to him. In the vampire kingdoms there is a giant honor and reward for returning a vampires pet"
