“Don’t mind Audrina, she’s a bitch,” a girl who suspiciously looked like Audrina smiled at Sophia.
Kyle had found some of his friends and a parent and went to play with them.
“I’m Shaylah Newman. Audrina’s twin. But don’t worry, I’m nothing like Audrina,” Shaylah smiled. She had a retainer, darker hair than Audrina’s dyed (as Shaylah said) platinum hair. Shaylah was Audrina’s fraternal twin. Her smile was ten times nicer and more real than Audrina’s, and her eyes were bluer than Audrina’s, more real and happy.
“Thanks,” Sophia said.
“Well, this is Mackenzie Der Torrossian and Breanne DeVries. 2 of my very best friends who, surprisingly, hate Audrina!” Shaylah grinned.
“Hi! You can call me Mack, but not Kenzie. I hate Kenzie. Sounds too girly, which reminds me of Audrina - blech!” Mackenzie fake-barfed.
“And you can me Bree,” Breanne tapped her golden hoop earring.
Ryan ran over to Sophia, “Hey Soph, we’re going to Stephanie’s party.” Ryan looked nicer and friendlier.
Ryan slung his arm around Sophia’s shoulder, “So here’s the deal: I want to break up with Audrina. I need your help Sophia. I want you to pretend like you’re my girlfriend.”
“Oh… ok,” Sophia answered, disappointed.
“Thanks,” Ryan exhaled, “Be right back.”
“So you’re Silvia? Ryan’s told me all about you. I’m Stephanie Conrad, and this is my P-A-R-T-Y!” Stephanie waved her arms in the air. Her gold bangles slid down her tiny arms.
“It's Sophia, Stephanie. My name’s Sophia Rose Peterson. Nice to meet you,” Sophia smiled.
“Oh riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight! Sophia! Duh!” Stephanie hit herself in the head.
“AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!” Audrina’s scary send-chills-up-your-spine scream got everyone’s heads turning. She and Ryan were walking out, arguing.
“RYAN! How could you leave me for that, that, that slut, babe? Everything was going perfectly well!” Audrina shouted.
“You,” Audrina walked to Sophia, “You’re the one, eh? The stupid bitch that stole my Ryan!”
“Look, Audrina,” Shaylah walked up to them, “Ryan obviously broke up with you because you’re a biotch. -Shaylah was too religious to curse- And look! He has someone he could actually like and won’t make him carry her shopping bags everywhere. That’s the reason why you haven’t had a decent relationship since Nick Plath in middle school. That, and other various reasons.”
“Shaylah! You’re my own sister! And you’re, you’re siding with the enemy? What kind of sister are you?!” Audrina stomped her foot.
“No, Audri. Question is: what kind of sister are you? I’ve had to be miserable for the last fifteen years of my life because of you!” Shaylah stomped her own foot. Sophia hadn’t noticed Ryan was next to her with his arms crossed.
“Well Ryan - I don’t believe you two are really ‘in love‘. I have ears, I heard you say to Drew del Ferro that you ‘sorta wanted to kinda break up with me‘” Audrina said, quoting Ryan. In love
“Well, we are Audrina,” Ryan said, pulling Sophia closer to him, “Just deal with it.”
“Well why don’t you guys prove it? Make it official? Go on, kiss,” Audrina squinted.
“What?! Audrina - you’re crazy!” Ryan rolled his eyes.
“Why won’t you? If you ‘love her’?”
“Fine!”
Sophia bit her lip. What if my breath smells bad? What did have to eat today? Let’s see, Cheerios in the morning, with milk of course, some orange juice. Um, I had a hot dog at lunch, with mustard, and ketchup. And a root beer.
Ryan leaned in, and looked at Sophia, his eyes asking for permission. Sophia nodded slightly, and leaned in as well. The two closed their eyes, and their lips met.
Fireworks.
Sophia was so surprised that she jumped back with a squeak, and looked around. She ruined it.
“Ugh! I hate you Ryan! I hate you both so much!” Audrina stomped away. It worked. She hadn’t ruined it. Much.
“Where’s Kyle?” Sophia suddenly asked.
“Oh no,” Ryan looked around. There was no sign of him.
“Maybe he went to Adam’s house. That’s the boy he was with right?” Sophia suggested.
“They’re still here!” Ryan ran to them.
“Where’s my brother?” Ryan asked.
“He left… with his… dad? There was a young man who said he was his father. And he took Kyle away,” Adam’s mother, Charlotte said.
“What?!” Sophia squeaked.
Oh no. Helena’s going to kill me!
Ryan reached into his pocket for his phone, and immediately dialed Helena. I could hear her screaming “WHAT?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!????????” Ryan motions Sophia to go with him to a more private place so people wouldn’t stare.
Sophia sighs and takes the phone from him. At home, she’d always get into trouble, not like this, but trouble, still.
“Helena, it’s me, Sophia,” Sophia says.
“Sophia! I am so disappointed in you! How could you lose Kyle??!” Helena cried.
“Have you called the cops?” Sophia asks.
“YES. I. HAVE, SOPHIA!!!” Helena screams.
“Well, I’m sorry. We’ll get him back. I just know it. In the meantime, though, worrying won’t help. You put all your energy into worrying. Can you get Kyle back by worrying? No. Of course, I can’t force you not to worry, I mean, he’s your child, for God’s sake, but worrying is not going to help anything. Just make yourself some tea and stay calm. The police are going to find him,” Sophia assures her.
“Right, right, ok. Worrying won’t help anything. Thanks so much Sophia. Bye.”
WIN!!!!!
“How do you do that?” Ryan asked, taking back his Blackberry. I like my iPhone4 better, Sophia thinks.
“You’re, you’re talking to me??!” Sophia fakes surprise, putting a hand over her heart.
“Well,” Ryan stared.
“Why didn’t you talk to me before?” Sophia asks.
“Reasons… reasons that you should know. But, guess not.”
“What?!” Sophia asked.
“Never mind,” Ryan leaves.
What reasons?
I think this was a very bad chapter but I haven't planned anything out yet like I did with My Chimerical Crush, so basically, I have no plot. I might not continue this story but I'll write the fifth and sixth chapter just to see how it'll go. If I think it sucks, I'll quit doing this story, because if it's not good, it's just a waste of my time.
I hope this was pretty long, it was 3 and a half pages long on my Word document. I was sick a few weeks ago, then I got better, and now, I'm sick again -,-
