The thing yesterday with Seth was weirder than ever. Honestly, who did he think he was?! I lay in my bed all day, except every five minutes I'll press the call button and tell one of the nurses to fetch Ryan for me so I could explain. That, and watching Spongebob.

My life can't get any worse, can it? First my parents die, then Ryan hates me. It's a good thing I'm out of this hospital in two days...

"Oh Sophia! We've missed you!" Helena holds me close as I breathe in her Couture Couture by Juicy Couture perfume.

"I've missed y'all too," I smile.

"So, Sophia, I'll let you get cleaned up. There's something I have to talk to you about. Meet me in the kitchen in half an hour?" Helena asks, looking way too serious for her.

"Of course," I say. I'm hoping it won't be about what happened with Seth. That'll just be too awkward and stuff...

"So, Sophia, it was planned that you were to live with us since your parents passed away, but in  their will, they wanted you to live with Cassandra Barry. One of your mom's co-workers I believe."

"But why?! It would be obvious to live you you guys! Who is this Cassandra Barry anyway? I don't know her, I refuse."

"Ah, apparently your parents were expecting something like that. They personally wrote you a note about this woman. It seems as if... as if for some reason they knew they would die that day," Helena sighs, then passes a piece of paper to me.

Dearest Sophia,

If you are reading this, you have most likely heard about Cassandra Barry. She is your mother's co-working. She is very friendly and has a nice home I promise you. We leave her in our will to take care of you.

Take care,

Your parents.

"But... but...," I stammer.

"Sophia, they said it in their will. The least you can do is meet this woman. If you don't like her, we may be able to convince her to let me adopt you or something," Helena smiled.

"Alright. I guess it wouldn't hurt to meet her," I say, standing up.

"Well then I guess I'll give her a call," Helena stands up as well.

So here I am, standing in front of this huge building. Mom and Dad sure weren't lying when they said she had a nice home. In fact, it was an understatement. Helena called Cassandra and they arranged for a flight back to New York, New York so I could meet this Cassandra woman. And here I am.

"You must be Sophia!" Cassandra walks out and holds me close.

"Nice to meet you Mrs. Barry," I say politely.

"Cassandra," Cassandra corrects me.

I smile and let her lead me into her huge house. We sit down and have a nice little chat. She has a daughter, Rebecca, who is seven years old. It looks like a bright new future, and I can leave Ryan and the misunderstanding. I could forget all about him. Helena I would miss most. She's done so much for me.

"Alright Cassandra," I say, standing up, "If it's alright with you, I would like to live with you."

Cassandra smiles, "Thank you Sophia. Rebecca and I would lovingly welcome you into our home."

"Well it sure was nice meeting you," I say as I get into the taxi cab.

"You too. I'm glad."

"Wait. So you're leaving me?!" Melissa wipes a tear.

"I'm sorry Melissa. It's in my parent's will. I don't exactly have a choice."

"But... but...," Melissa whimpers.

"It's OK, Meli. I'll visit. I promise."

"You better!!!" Melissa cries. I pat her back as she cries some more. She got attached waaaaay too fast. I wish I could at least give Ryan an explanation, but he wouldn't listen to me. This is it. My flight leaves in an hour.
